I'd play the game called real life and increase my spirit level. This isn't a signature, you just think it is. |

I wouldnt pick any mmo because 30 days is not long enough to hit long term goals I set myself. Tribes Ascend Link Sign Up Foo, its fun: https://account.hirezstudios.com/tribesascend/?referral=214829&utm_campaign=email |

I would probibly want to play either Ultima Online back before the "murder patch" or SWG back after the city patch went in, where things were actually fun and interresting to play. I will miss sandbox MMO's

I wouldnt play mmos.
I would most likely act normal till i die and try to get so depressed that i end up as a resentful ghost trollin all those who get near. *tv turns static* Then suddenly its a laptop... Then out of nowhere... "never gonna give you up~ never gonna let you down Never gonna Run aroud and desert you" Or maybe ill appear in the mirror and try to stab them with a spoon @_@ ''/\/\'' Posted using Iphone bunni |

Play an MMORPG if I had only 30 days more to live...I do not think so. I would see as much of this planet as I could. Travel to places I have never been, like Patagonia, Mongolia and Norway and so many others. Never kissed the Blarney Stone yet either. No I do not think I would play any MMORPG whatsoever. ![]() |

Obvious answer is I would not play an mmo. Given if I were in good enough health to leave the house, I wouldn't even be home to play any games at all. I'd rather be out and about with the mind set of 'i'm dying, now dance for me puppets, DANCE!' lol. I know that this is supposed to be a playful what-if scenerio and you're supposed to ignore the obvious answer, but I have a hard time thinking of any game reguardless of genre that i'd want to play in this hypothetical situation. |

If that would be a certainty, I would not even touch my PC. I would start with giving away all my rl stuff before I quit my rl MMO :p Then tell some ppl what I really think of them (both positive and negative) and maybe end with some actions that would have repercussions if I wouldve lived any longer :) Let's burn those bridges! |

If you're going to stick it out there, don't be afraid if you get it cut off. |

30 days... shit, no way GW2 will be out in 30 days.
This is really a horrible time in MMO's for this question. I'm not really playing anything (sigh), but I'd kill for a good sandbox a la EQ1, DAOC, or FFXI [anybody got any suggestions, by all means let me know]. Even notwithstanding the obvious (spend it with family, etc.), I'm not sure I can come up with a true MMO game right now that I like well enough to immerse myself in it if I had nothing better to do for my last days. It paints a pretty sad picture of the genre.
That said, it's a fascinating hypothetical just because of the obvious stuff. I know it's cliche to say so, but if I would do things differently in the last 30 days of my life, why the hell am I not doing them differently now? [Now sure, the risk-taking stuff is a given; that actually makes sense from a rational standpoint. Risking a day and a half of life isn't quite as threatening as risking potentially another 20-60 years.] I mean, I'm choosing to play games with my life on a regular basis now, and that's time spent gaming that isn't coming back. That ought to make me pretty picky for one thing, but it's worth evaluating if the games are worth my attention given their alternatives.
Ultimately I like to think that if I were actually at death's door, I'd be playing games as often and when I play them now--when my family's in bed and I've got nothing better to do (since I can't spend time with my sleeping wife anyway). And I'll cheerfully admit that even though the market is just abysmal right now, I still prefer the MMO genre to anything else out there. Okay, I might play a little less LOL, but hey, at least I'd be playing it with my brother and my friends.
I would, however, write one hell of a D&D or oWOD campaign to go out with for my friends. Good times, there. I'd also do my best to get the rest of the way caught up on the Jordan WOT books, even if I couldn't get to Sanderson (on Path of Daggers atm). I figure Jordan died without finishing it anyway, so I might as well too.
Back on topic, though, I don't know if I could say that I would 'play' them anymore, so much as just revisit a lot of games. I would snatch up a sub to FFXI for one thing, just to be able to run around Valkurm, Qufim, and Crawler's again. And I'd spend some time on P1999 killing Misty Storyswapper again, and again, and again. >) /cackle Roll up a mushroom bomber and a multi-pet midget on DAOC. Log onto my spines/regen on COH and run around Dark Astoria AOEing everything in sight. A lot of good stuff to look back on, even if the finest days of my experience with MMO's has been over for a while now. Peace and safety. |
