I hope they continue to spruce things up - I may have to check it out again later in the summer. My poor cancer-ridden 8-year-old hero (Chemo Kate) and her aresenal of weaponry probably miss me. |

If I turned my old "gold" character I made when the game first came out, and change it to "silver". Do I lose my costume settings? Cause that would piss me off. |

Originally posted by Nivisiru From what I saw, you can't access your old characters without gold. Kind of sucks since I paid full price for the game when it came out - F2P shouldn't keep me from characters I made pre-F2P. |

I'm pretty interested in trying out the hideouts - pretty nice addition. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

You can turn your old character to a silver model. You need to choose a new Arquetype and lose the Freeform style. |

Originally posted by ironraptor CoH was a better product.. and.. probably a lot healthier subs wise.. but your not wrong.. in the genre of Super Hero MMO's CoH is probably the best of the bunch.. the only question is which is second best.. CO or DCUO.. my guess is probably CO.. |

I would have stuck with DCUO if it wasn't for the annoying targetting system. I've been back to CoX a few times but it just doesn't grab me as much as CO does, ofc there is more to do in CoX, but I enjoy the better graphics and the more comic book style of CO over CoX, it certainly feels more like a superhero game than CoX does, but thats just me.

if you are using pieces that are free for gold but not for silver, you will need to replace them. However, anything you have unlocked and/or bought you still should be able to use it. |

Don't let Atari or Cryptic fool you. This game is just as terrible as the day it came out. Sure, those of us testers and pre-release Champions fans had high hopes. We pre-paid for a game that they changed over night the morning before release, making it nearly a completey different game entirely.
Atari has a poor business plan of regurgitating out a new MMO every 6 months or so till they hit that lucky break. Cryptic has an ear to the ground for some complaints, for sure, but their hands are tied when they are run by a low quality, high rate of fire company like Atari.
It looks nice and plays smoothly. But by the time you hit around level 18, you've experienced pretty much the entirety of what you have to look forward to. One or two powers worth using while the rest become obsolete. Get used to it if you plan on sticking it out. |
