I'm glad MMORPG.com decided to do that recent article on League of Legends, as after reading it I decided to look into the game & so far i'm have a blast in it. If the article wasn't made, i'd have never known about the game. So thanks MMORPG.com! |

If its not an mmo then it should not be on this site, why not expand your recent new site launches with a moba site and dump all their moba crap in that. I agree with some one above, there are loads of new mmo's to be listed instead of maffing around with games that should not be here why dont you focus on what should. I think your size is getting to your head and your trying to cover to much. Come join the new gaming and guild community in the UK. |

or just add an extra webpage to the site dedicated to all mmo's so the rabid mmorpg fans dont have a conniption fit |

very intresting, i havent played a MOBA yet but i took a stab at what it stood for and it turned out i was right. Bill is right in what hes saying even though its not a full fledged MMORPG it still has MMO aspects and deserves attetion, and its gettting that attention many people love these games. I think there an important part of gaming and should be on this website. madnessman |

Like others have said you should have defined what a MOBA is in your article. Other than that, I have no problem with you covering these type of games. They are becoming a significant part of the market. |

I also had never heard of MOBA's and didn't know what they were. Thanks for the definition, those who looked it up for us. Ok, well, as you were. I am also not in the crowd who cares if the site branches out or not. I guess at some point though the name of the site will just become misleading to newcomers. |

I don't mind MOBAs being covered here, but then again I wish RTS and FPS were part of this site as well. Sometimes I just want to know about a game, regardless of the genre, and get info or discuss it. I would rather there be an inclusive parent site with sections for each major genre and one unified login. That way I could discuss and get info about gaming period. |

A bit of cross-pollination and how the mmo is stretching all over games eg the PvP set-up in LoL is interesting from the angle of mmorpg writers just as the business model is: http://toucharcade.com/2011/05/11/the-app-store-needs-freemium-games-like-league-of-legends/ Eg 3 games that are worth anyone talking about: 1. LoL 2. Minecraft 3. TF2 From the pov of sandbox, pvp and multiplayer these create "take note" reflections in the mmorpg world I think very productive to talk about (anywhere)? Populous: http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1014633/Classic-Game-Postmortem |

How about Spiral Knights, then? That's not strictly an MMORPG, either, but it's close to it than MOBAs are. |

Just goes to show how devastated and desolate the MMORPG landscape appears for the near future. Gotta keep that hit counter rising somehow... |

Oh look at all you genre snobs "MMORPG.com is for mmos only, i don't want those whatsamajiggers soiling up my precious site." No surprise i do not like mmo players very much, most of you could never fathom playing another type of game by the looks of it, narrow-minded elitism is what it is. |

Originally posted by Thekandy Ya, imagine that, they expect a site dedicated to mmos to cover only mmos, shocking. Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling" |

FFS its not that we dont like MOBA games its the fact that there are sites for MOBA and none of us bloody play them..ooh and the fact we dont like moba PLAYERS. MOBA players are not mmorpg players...as far as i can tell anyway..... us mmorpg players dont even get on with the damn clicky clicky twitchy sweaty yelling at each other at netcafes types.... I am seriously gonna have to find an actual mmorpg site....your are not MOBA.com hell i wouldnt be here if it was. just read above and you can see the split between mobo and mmorpg players. we are different so are the games you BILL need to realise that and stop forcing us together..we dont mix well. we explode. grow a pair and clean the site up. go make an MOBA.COM for the obsessive clickers and be done with it, you hired more staff have them make a whole site as you can see we dont want moba on mmorpg. nothing to do with game elitism ether..i play all game types but i visit gaming sites for that type of bloody game. i dont wana see moba news on my mmorpg site. and yes it was an mmorpg site before the damn mobas invaded..so yes i do feel that you are ruining the site.. like everyones saying your being greedy little twits..kinda like the mmorpg industry as a whole at the moment. funny how even the sites covering the game genre are affected by this.
example the only games that arnt mmorpg's that are listed and covered on this site also seem to be the same ones advertising on it....strange huh give mmorpg.com money for adds and your game is an instant mmorpg! that was a nice bit of bullshitting tho bill lmao. |
