For those who don't know, the newest DEV blog has been posted for FE, detailing some of the awesome sounding additions and features coming to the game in the future, Check it out here:

Highlights include a raised level cap, a release date for Alpha County, Progress Towns (player controlled, explandable towns which must be defended), and faction territory control, to name just a few. I'm pretty stoked about the future of this game, and the fact that it is quite differant than anything else on the MMORPG scene these days. hard to believe that I used to bash on this game so hard....it really has come a long way, and looks like it's only going to get better. |

. . .Faction Territory Control! 2-years too late, imho. A great game if I were really more interested in a Crafting Simulator, but to me, was such a shame that there was absolutley no emphasis on faction-based game-play, something that I would have hoped would be a cornerstone of this game, particularly beginning at Sector 2, on. |

Originally posted by Mad+Dog I havn't actually had a chance to test it, but from what I hear basically everything. The idea is to remove some of the excess junk that no one ever uses, and to combine stuff that basically has the same effect, etc....streamlining and making the whole thing a lot smoother. I've heard positive things from people who HAVE tested it, and it leads me to believe that this won't be so much a CU / NGE as a polish and optimisation patch......getting rid of the "clunk". |

Unfortunately, we get a lot of promises, and not much delivery. Im going to wait to see some results before giving them any more money. |

It does sound kind of promising. But on this I will take the stance of a 'wait and see' I did play this briefly on the free trial. I will hop back in once it goes F2P to give myself more of a longer time span to play before I think of subbing. |
