Not sure where to put this as it's really about a mmo so I'm going for here, please move if it's in the wrong place. I got an e-mail from "supposidly" the CEO of Bioware this morning to say that the Never Winter Nights community page has been hacked. The mail included a link to reset my password. I haven't clicked the link but did go directly to the EA sites and change my password.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen/received this e-mail. As I've not seen anyone else mention it I'm concerned at this point it might be phishing/SPAM but I'm smart enough to not click the links in the e-mail. Anyone else get this? |

Don't click the link. Goto their website on your own and reset your password. If it is true your protected... if it isn't true your protected. Changing your password every now and then is a good policy also. blah |

Bioware's Neverwinter forums were hacked. Approximately 18,000 users' data was stolen. So my guess is that the email is legit. |

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm in IT a while and never click a link in an e-mail, always go to the site directly. I also do change my passwords regularly and they are usually quite secure (special charas and numbers etc)
Was just unsure when I saw this e-mail and wanted to see if anyone else had received simular.
Thanks for the replies. |
