I stared at the enormous structure in front of me. I was told it was a nightmare made solid, a deathtrap for anyone foolish enough to discover it secrets alone. This may be true, but as I glance over my shoulder at the people behind me, I smile. It’s a good thing I brought friends.

The Galactic Syndicate is a community dedicated to returning to those bygone days when the games were fun and the communities were interactive. With the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic, we have the opportunity to grasp that missing element, the story, and the drama that will reconnect us to the virtual world we’ve missed for so long. Bioware is heavily emphasizing the story aspect of the game, and so the Syndicate will focus more on the story of us, on who the players are, rather than looking at just stats and classes. We will create the epic tale of our characters together, though a a community of online friends and family to play with.

Activity: Although we plan on traditional pve/pvp gameplay, raiding, crafting and socializing with event-driven role play, we won’t pressure anyone into anything they don’t want to do. Think role-play is silly, crafting boring or PvP too much grief? Feel like logging in every day or once a week? Fine by us. Our only demands are that you enjoy yourselves, help your guildmates when possible and treat everyone with respect, including non-members.

Doesn’t matter if you’re Republic or Sith…we will have a presence on both sides of the divide, and depending on how the game is set up, we may have cross-faction events.

Organization: In addition to our Guild leaders, we established several officers to help our members in certain aspects of the game, including a Crafting Coordinator, Community Event Planner and a Role Play Advisor. Feel free to ask for their help and advice.


Role Playing: Although we don’t demand members role play their characters, we do support a roleplay community, from players who love to get into character in-game to those who just write fiction based on their character (or any SW fiction for that matter). We even have story driven roleplay in our forums. If you fancy yourself a writer, please by all means come visit and join a story or start your own.

Teamspeak: We have a Teamspeak server, but you’re not required to use a mic. All we ask is that you listen in when we have meetings or conduct Flashpoints or Operations (aka Group Instances or Raids).
