The grind is hardly bad. I came back for 2.5. And i can get a level every 2-3 hours at 40 atm.Im guessing when the bouns xp is gone. it will be double that so 4-7 tops. Plus they have alot of benifits on some servers atm(zikel and siel) if you make a asmodian. Get 50 of these tokens that increase your exp by 50% for a hour each.  And access to certian dungeons you need a fort ownership for normally. Imo everyone should try a game in general and see if it's for them. Not let people blow smoke and try to make a fire of it.

NCSoft doesn't turn their games into F2P, as seen in Tabula Rasa, Auto Assault and Lineage (Western version).

Glad to see they increased the trial to level 20, it was referral only and ridiculously limited (7 levels or something like that).

For us gamers, the number of servers doesn't matter as long as there is a properly populated server for us to play.

Don't forget the EU/US market is not NCsoft's primary target. In fact they could probably care very little for it, given that most of Aion's revenue is from Asia. The tone was set straight from the Western launch of the game, where every change happened really slow. The game is simply designed for Asia and it runs well there. I don't have the most contemporary info, but just to give you some sort of an idea - at the time when we had the game in the so called "open beta", it was running in Asia for 6 months already. Only in Korea there were 143 official servers. This is hardly a game that tanks for NCsoft - it's simply that great customizations for the Western market are not economically viable.

Sad game, this game may be a suceess game in korea but in western people call it a epic faill..

Ncsoft is copy paste all the same trash.

Is it the same NCSoft taht is resposible for Guid Wars?

I resubbed yesterday and the new graphic update and map are awesome. I hope it get fun at higher levels and i hope i don't need to grind.

Arena Net is a NC Soft company.

the AIon free trial is fun but u have tons of limits like no local chat, and private shops, no warehouse

Thought i would sub. for a month to see how things are.Up to now..seems ok.love the combat but..furry animals..gimmee a break,why oh why do the asians put these things in mmo's ffs.Has a game though..i quite like it apart from that though.when i look at this game though i find it kind of strange that there are no pve servers..i think it may have attracted a lot more people.now down to 8 servers in europe.OH  well by the end of this year it will be down to 4 servers no doubt,but i think this is really popular in asian countries,so they really dont care about   what us westerners think do they.

Yup, not the most successful game in the West but it has millions of subs in the East. Although, I have seen more people playing Aion then many of our more western games. No matter what Aion is here to stay no matter what the naysayers want to say.

i really don't understand says ten day trial  here on ncsoft Aoin website says play for free level cal 40 until spring when goes ftp. wtf IS THE TRUTH! Please answer!! I will go back to agother game and forget about Aion no matter how astheticallty pleasing I thought it was, utter confusiuon and lack of inrterest no even thogh I considered spending money. Glad I havent.

Starts in April for the US. Already F2p in Europe I believe.
