The Asda 2 dev team has announced that the open beta for the game will commence on Thursday, May 19th. The anime-inspired game is a sequel to Asda Story and feature lots of gaming variety, hard-core PvP and numerous customization possibilities.  To celebrate the open beta, the team has lots of activities planned.

The first players who log in to play Asda 2 tomorrow when the open beta starts, log in throughout the OBT, or advance their Soul Mate system bond the fastest until June 14th will win Campus Credit and in-game item prizes worth hundreds of dollars in the "Race To Login", "Daily Attendance", and Soul Mate leveling contests.  Collect the most "Lucky Monster" tokens during the same period for a chance to win huge prizes like a Nintendo 3DS and games, iPods, Gift Cards to popular online stores, and more!

Sunflowers, rainbows, wedding dresses and a bright, cartoony environment.  Yeah, that's as hardcore is it comes in PvP land.  That broad is about to rip the sunflower out of the ground, beat the guy around the head and neck with it, then hang him from the cartoon tree with the floating rainbow rope.

Its only a contradiction if you are stuck in your small little world where what you have been told is the only truth and way to see things.. Truth is, does graphics really dictate what the gameplay is supposed to be like?

I know I know, I am preaching, but do not forget, Super Smash Bro's is also a colorful vibrant "slap stick" game with tons of violence and hardcore PvP action..

Maybe we should try it before applying the "heavy metal needs screaming" philosohpy to it..

When an MMO states "Hardcore" its not exactly in the same sense as of "Hardcore Porn"....Its not about visuals >"<... Its the game mechanics, they would be stating maybe?

So what if the first few mobs you kill were sunflowers etc ^_^...If those sunflowers are tough as mofos, Then its "Hardcore" also....Some people need to stop jerking off, or thinking "Conan" when ever they see hardcore lol ^_^...

And hmm i for one will be trying this out because i am interested to see what they done with the fishing and mining aspects... I like other things to do than just "Grind"...
