Originally posted by gauge2k3 well I suppose that depends on what you mean by "politically correct". the thing is, I DO post exactly what I mean. However, I am a huge belliever in respecting my host (in this case mmorpg.com) and of course the people at the party (basically all of the members on this site). And honestly, take it for what you will, my upbringing stresses a certain level of maturity. And I've lived a bit so I'm not some raw emotional individual with an axe to grind looking for a forum to let my ID explode. Of course I can go on for hours on how we all are not mature (myself included). And I'd love to be a politician but I'm way too honest and actually believe in public service as opposed to furthering some "career and agenda". but I'm here for discussion and the rules of the game are that we respect each other. So as long as my patience and "will" hold out, I'm going to respect you all. So help me... |

If a game has received no attention for months on end, you have to assume it is moribund. Chins |

Like someone said, several of their games already recieve relatively minimal resources and just piggyback off of more successful games. The money making games aren't being closed down so why would they close down the games that don't cost them much to run. SOE probably spends little to maintain several games at the moment (been that for way forever with VG). Guys....It's SOE. They have an uncanny ability to keep dead games going past their expiration date.

Sorry, not being pretentious, it is a quote from Alan Partridge- Knowing Me Knowing You. 'I read a review that my show was moribund, so I looked it up in the Oxford English Dictionary and...' Chins |

Cheers, but upshot is (I played it one release and enjoyed it) they shifted the team to Aion and allowed it to flounder. Its ashame because it could have been great. Chins |

If I had a nickel for everytime someone posted a "This is the End" post in the forum over the past 4 years I'd be a fricking millionaire. |

Looks like I might have been wrong, everybody getting a free 45 days and all the benifits to games they did have. So anybody who had vangaurd swg and all, can come back for a free 45 days. Might just save this game if you can get logged in, i been hearing probably about the log in and time outs. |

Originally posted by ArcheAge Uh, 200k players ? Thats the population of the first month. It was over 400k players who actually bought the game. Sadly, half of the players stayed only like minutes before they stopped playing. Probably because of the high hardware requirements. Gives you an idea how successful Vanguard would have been if they had actually finished it before releasing. Just waiting longer so that people would have better hardware would already have helped. I would like to add that making leveling slower so people wont rocket to the endgame and complain theres no such thing as said endgame would have helped, too. |
