This nocry guy got banned for interupting a tournament. This is an obvious GM abuse since darkfall is suppose to be Free for all and there is no rules for that. Event or not, there should not be any excuse, the player base should simply be more organized. You can clearly see that they did a good job to stop the guy, but he still got banned.

BTW, this is all EU1 server. I play on NA1 and nothing like that happens. We once had a trade fair event and clan members name The Shadow Legionare  ruined everything. Shit happen, its a sandbox. So what we did, most clans decided to pack up to siege most of their cities.

In conclusion, this is not world of warcraft. We dont need any Arena or Battlegrounds. Its a sandbox and GM's should not be involve in any of our activities. The player base can take care of themselves with enough trust.

Im pretty sure he was kicked from the game and not banned. not that I fully agree with it their should just have killed him ingame instead, but he kept coming back to greif the tournemant 5 times or something before a gm did something

Thanks for that video you just helped me make up my mind not to resub - I hate the way the game is totally based on magic and people buffing themselves all the time.

I want a game that has more interesting combat rather than a spell spam fest.

I also want a game where there is more to do than combat and skill grinding.

Oh and whilst I am at it I want a game with some lore in it. How can any possible justify all race clans? It ruins the lore and ruins the immersion factor.

You totally misunderstood my post. Quests? Er no - I want a sandbox game. I fully love the full loot pvp element but want just a little bit more than combat alone in a game. There is nothing else worth doing in Darkfall at all.

Try playing UO to see what old style MMOs offered. Darkfall said it took a lot of inspiration from that game (and copied in all its glory the looting system and backpack). It is a shame it added no actual features apart from kill or be killed.

Sad really.

Take a look at the original vision for Darkfall and you will see a perfect game - take a look at what you have in reality and you will see a very sad game.

UO? lol, maybe im too young. I tried UO and it was shit to me. Im not talking about the graphics. The gui is confusing as hell and the combat system is horrible.

I dont know why i like DF so much and not UO. It might be the FPS aspect or something.

Anyway, i can see what you mean about Racial clan and the magic spam problem. I suggest you to take an other look when Darkfall Arena expansion will release. There will be a new type of class system base on the gear you are wearing and they will completely fix the alignment problem.

Uhhhh LOL I dont think so. UO is 2D. Darkfall has more to do, better graphics, and in 3D. Get a clue.

You obviously haven't tried the game or played it 2 years ago for a few days and quit or maybe you played the 14-day trial and think you know everything about the game.

The PVE in Darkfall is better than any other MMORPG right now imo and they keep improving on it. This is mainly because the combat is the funnest but also because it makes me feel more immersed because it sucks to die and is awesome to win with a realistic feel on top of that.

2 years into the game and I have done under 50% of the quests, have explored about 70% of the map, been in about 60% of the dungeons (all are fun), I havent found a treasure map yet , I killed a Kraken with a cannon hehe, Fire Dragon (named Steve at the time) has owned me multiple times (esp. when the game first came out LOL), I can craft any item in the game and customize it for each gaming session by choosing certain enchants for what I want to do, I haven't fought or even seen most of the epic bosses yet, and they keep coming out with more before I come anywhere close to finished playing with the content already there.

It has a 14-day trial. See for yourself. I only named a couple things from the top of my head and everyone in this site probably knows that I could go on and on and fill up pages in just a couple minutes about all the fun things to do in this game. lol
