This is riddiculous. 1. There isnt even a Wikipedia entry for that "game". Shows how mega-significant that one is. 2. Cellphones arent able to handle any noteworthy graphics or controls. 3. If we start listing simplistic cellphone apps here, we could as well start listing all the browser games out there. Plenty of them are technically "massively multiplayer". Actually they are able to handle millions of parallel players, while normal MMORPGs that actually operate in almost realtime can only handle ca up to 10.000 per server. |

This is no simplistic graphic mmorpg for the iDevices. Everything is fully 3d and the graphics really do look good for the iDevices. Pocket Legends got a full article on this site, and this game beats this game hands down. While this game clones WoW badly, it is a far better mmo then many of the f2p games out there. I have played for about 8hrs and I haven't run out of quests. There is a small crafting and gathering system too. I never would have thought something like this could be made for these devices. |

It's a polished wow clone and whatever your stance/views on mmobiles: They are here to stay. Order&Chaos has some good features: Interesting quests in a fully persistent open-world, skill trees per the various classes/races are high in the numbers (44 per or so) and has all the standard mmo features such as chat channels etc. With more mmobiles on the horizon such as shadow cities (2.5 euro investment/Finnish) and Runes (gestures swipes combat/French) and World of Midguard still far off but using the Unity Pro engine... these things are becoming more and more playable. However O&C is by gameloft and their service after a game is usually pretty low. So a week or two or more to see how this one does and how many players decide to subscribe (Price: 6.99$/3.99£ with various monthly options 3/6 discounts etc) it might deserve being added then? One to watch in a month or so: BLACKSTAR. : D Populous: http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1014633/Classic-Game-Postmortem |

Oh, you get 3 months including with the 6.99 initial buy-price. There is a cash shop though. I like it so far. Good to play anywhere without a real computer. They also know how to do a touch interface on a small screen. I never thought it is possible to put a full fledge MMO interface on a touch screen but Gameloft has done it. |

I checked back today, to see if mmorpg.com is going to cover this. I'm not seeing any info that they will. I'm rather sad about this. Pocket Legends was covered and it is not a real mmo. This game actually is a time consuming mmorpg. I will be checking back later to see if they will. I tried submiting a message to them to add to the game list, but I don't know if that will help. I think iOS will start having better games, and I think eventually they will be noticed. With new iPhone and IPad versions comming out as often as they are, I think there will be a fair share of real MMOs developed. I believe the iDevices will eventually be a true gaming platform. I give it about 2-3 years. I hope those facebook like apps will fade away, and I just don't understand angry birds. I bought the game because it was number 1 for so long, and played it. I would rather play tetris.
Edit: I got the link to the app store for the game so you can look at it. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/order-chaos-online/id414664715?mt=8 |
