I'll admit the controls aren't the best, but you will get used to them. New update came today, also brought new ships for your pewpew pleasure.
Fun game to kill time. |

Originally posted by DogPeeTree Just thought I should let you know, and I'm honestly not trying to troll you, that when you give your opinions on something, it really helps your arguments when you do your best (and I seriously hope this wasn't your best) to not mispell words and use proper grammar and punctuation. It makes you look a bit smarter, and makes it seem that you at least know what you're talking about.
Anyways, I digress.
I feel that the controls are fine myself. I also don't think that this and EVE feel anything alike, aside from the obvious outer-space theme. I have been enjoying this game a good bit lately, and I'm glad to see the developers are happy with how things are going and have a set plan for it's future (or at least so they say). It's not something you would probably sit and play for hours, but it's not bad to help pass the time here and there. |

Hey, I'm just going to admit that I quiet like this game. When it was anounced I was probably the first to say that it was it was going to be a bit s&^t but it has quiet surprised me. To be fair it's not the best game out there by any stretch of the imagination but It's fun for what it is (A free to play browser game) and I find myself loging in quiet a lot more than I expected I would. Pvp can be good especialy when you are involved in a big fleet battle and easy to get into at any lvl (I found anyway). Looking forward to seeing where they take it. |

The lack of content is what keeps me from playing this game. If only they focused more on expanding the quest line they left off at the starting 3 tutorial missions, and less on the full time pvp aspect, this game would have a better retention rate among the less hardcore and more casual player demograph.
The large scale OP battles are great and all, but after your (n)th fight it also loses its novelty. There isnt anything to do in this game other than those god awful dailies, mining and pvp which is one sore point that they need to fix. Gullible are the fanboys; How blind is their sight! |

I hate how they redesigned Cylon ships for the newer series. They look terrible. The original version of the Cylon fighter I still feel is one of the coolest ships out. Glad to see the screenie of the original style..

Funny how they don't mention how you need cash shop funds to really get anywhere unless you wanna spend weeks farming for ONE weapon upgrade of 6 on larger ships, or how you have to spend days farming asteroids just to make money to support yourself. The game is 100% Pay to win even in pve, I'd advise you to honestly not touch the game till bigpoint changes its view, besides the game has virtually 0 content, you have 3 newbie missions and thats about it, after that u pick up dailys which consist of blowing up asteroids, killing npc's, and killing some players and such, these never change. After you done those its most asteroid farming for the most part. I been playing the game off and on and recently they really screwed the pooch with a patch that pretty much made the game more cash shop currency based than it ever was before. To put it simple bigpoint doesn't give 2 shits about its playerbase, since their suggestions mostly get totally ignored, all they care about really from what I have seen is how much money they can suck out of you, for a somewhat lackluster game. Though the graphics are nice for a browser mmo. Anyway, best advice I can say is avoid this game, don't let the 1 mil regged accts fool you, the game is very sparsely populated least on Scorpia where I play. Overall its not too bad of a game but if your not willing to shell out hundreds maybe thousands of dollars to get anywhere without taking 6-12+ months I'd suggest you stay away from the game FAR away. Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either: A. Proven right (if something bad happens) or B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens) Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime! |

Also a addendium to my above post: "As I mentioned, we’re seeing more players pick the Cylon side, but not by too much that it’s an issue. Generally, Cylon players appear to be more hardcore in nature, attaining higher levels faster and spending more time upgrading their ships and unlocking new ones. We are very sensitive to the game’s overall balance and always look for positive and negative anomalies that require adjustment. Any changes we make, however, must be done incrementally so as not to cause too much of a disruption." Is a lie, on most servers cylons are Vastly outnumbered sometimes 4 or 5 to 1. They also do not care to much about balance of the factions either, or balance between free players and "wallet warriors" which is a term we use for people who bascally pay to win. The cash shop funds are too involved, Upgrading ships and ships gear should not be using cash shop currency, yes you can get it in game (and they nerfed the amount u get drasticly very recently from 200 a kill down to maybe 30 IF it drops) Making the game even less inviting for new players. Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either: A. Proven right (if something bad happens) or B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens) Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime! |

Man, I've seen and used some really nicely thought out controls in games and I've dealt with some really bad controls in games, but this game takes the WTF were they thinking award for very bad game controls, game looks nice thou, I might try it again latter, ...when they work out a normal set of game controls or even add in some joystick controls. |
