The game is fun and all, but to everyone out there, when you are a high level, and to start kicking ass in raids and pvp, like siege wars, you'll have to pay lots of money. with all the armor upgrading and weapons upgrading, the whole game is just about equipment stats. |

don't forget that within a month beta testing for chapter 4 will begin and when it comes out live, well all your gear, no matter the amount of real money invested into it, will be rendered pretty much useless. gg. |

A F2P MMO is pay to win at end game!?! I don't believe you sir. Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not. |

well if you plan on continuously grinding endlessly, you might be half as powerful as people who paid for gear. |

Runes of Magic is probably the most pay to win "free to play" MMORPG out right now. I'm pretty sure everybody already knows this. Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not. |

The game is about equipment and stats..I agree..
I love how crafting works in the game and at high levels with the highest recipes.....Getting an Orange/Gold item really beats taking all the white and green items I see modded in that game by the newbs who fail to realize that its better to craft a top level item first and then mod it. You don't need to blow as much money to mod equipment until you reach a certain level and if you truly know what you are doing the cost is actually minimal.
Not trying to be an asshole. Critical and Logical Behavior vs subjective analysis.
Its true you will see a lot of PAY TO WIN players, but I like the environments and areas in game...Also the game has higher performance on Linux than on Windows when set up correctly. ^_^ ----Primary System---- |

There are many loop-holes to the "pay-to-win" idea! You dont have to pay real money to buy item shop items if you know how to make lots of many without too much of an effort... get the money.. trade ingame money for item shop items.. and you are set.. many people dont know how to win at this game without buying diamonds.. atm my only diamond source is cut off and so i have to make my lvl 65 Aok Prayer (better than chapter 3's Raksha's Magic Staff) a T9-T10 +12-16 item without buying diamonds (or buying very many..currently waiting for 2x diamonds so i can spend my $10...) anywayz.. you can pay as much real money or as little real money as you want and still be able to do endgame content! a lot of people are just too lazy to farm gold to buy diamonds from diamond sellers.. |

You completely miss the point... as most "Pay 2 Win" fans do. It's not that you HAVE to spend money to win, its that you can. The game basically offers you a way to "win" instantly rather than earning it or playing the game. The game loses a lot (if not all) sense of accomplishment when you work hard for something, and another player can just buy that work. Simply put, no game should offer a single combat item/potion/reward/anything from an item shop. Vanity items, pets, mounts, teleport scrolls... all of those are fine. |

If you called me a "Pay to Win" fan then you are completely wrong. :p I only use diamonds when i have to.. I only get diamonds on double diamonds and i have a limited amount of money.. i have to buy most ingame items from the item shop using gold.. Yes people can just buy items for cheap when they can send the person an advanced bind lifter to unbind the gear and make it cheaper, instead of earning it, but remember there are also the people who can't spend all their time on this game and can't take an hour or more doing an instance for gear every day... those who actually do spend hours inside instances each day take pride in getting hard-earned gear.. even though it might not be the best gear, that person worked hard for it.. thats how i have to get my gear now.. through instances.. i agree with you on most things but you dont HAVE to "Pay to Win".. more like "Pay to get ahead faster" |
