Bummer, but I'd much rather a solid launch than for example another AoC, Vanguard, heck even WoW's launch back in the day wasn't stellar... Seems like BioWare games are always quality, and I assume that's what the hold up is. Getting it to their standards. |

As long as they launch as well as possible, and have a "complete" game then I don't care how long it takes. |

I've been signed up for this game since December 08 and just got into the beta this past week. Trust me. It's worth the wait. |

Who cares? The fact of the matter is it WILL come out. It's not like they have set dates and constantly been pushing them back. Some of us have known about this game since 2005, a few more months isn't going to kill anyone. So in the meantime, keep your collective panties out of a knot and play some more World of Gaycraft. Salvation is near. |

Lame. Release a game with a very large established fanbase from 10+ years of bnet history when the market was still emerging and the casual base had not yet been established, thus ripe for harvesting a momentious self perpetuating playerbase people never leave because they have X hours invested in their characters, and their friends and everyone else plays anyway. Not discounting Blizzard quality... but WoW's success is as much about perfect timing as it is quality, if not more so. - Derros |

Rather wait then get an unpolished game I dump in 2-3 months. |

it wont make that date. It will be a 2012 thing my feeling is. How do I know you say? I don't but beta testers complaining in the beta forums that the game is only half finished is a good sign somewhere in 2012. not gonna link the url but leakerz are known to exist so google it. |

I dont think that ToR is going to be here this year. maybe april-may next year. IMO i think that the game isnt ready just yet and they dont want to put out a dud product seeing as the last couple of major games have had a pretty smooth opening. Also there are other games coming out that will not want to compete with including ME3. so i just get the feeling thats its going to be next year |

Originally posted by biorealms The picture that is used as 'evidence' turned out to be a fake and not an indication of the beta forums at all. Argument was that the photoshopping was done sloppy and left a number of mistakes in the picture, and names of so called beta testers that were false. They were posters on the official forums, but they confirmed that they weren't part of the beta test program. Also, the same subject of 'game not being finished' as seen in the pic was posted by the same poster in the public SWTOR forum.
In short: the claim of beta testers saying that the game is only half finished is as true and genuine as the claim of a blogger that SWTOR had a budget of 300 million dollars. The ACTUAL size of MMORPG worlds: a comparison list between MMO's |

Q2 or 3 in 2012 would be alright by me, as long as the game is being done well. SWG was alright, I guess, typical of MMO releases and play at the time, and then SOE came and screwed the game up; so, my concern is that Bioware was saying something about going with SOE for Production and Distribution. If this is true, then Bioware is shooting themselves in the foot, so it wouldn't matter when release is. SOE turns everything they touch into gold: immobile. So, if Bioware goes with ANYONE other than SOE, I don't care if the game doesn't come out until 2013, as long as it's right. |

Not sure where you get the "try to aim, move, twitch" thing. SWTOR is not going to have any sort fo "FPS" control system. You need to go find some of the videos of the game being played on YouTube at PAX. There is also a walkthrough of the same mission they are playing from different class perspectives. None of those show any such "aim, move, twitch" thing as you discribe. In fact, the controls look traditional MMO style controls. Oh, you mean the so-called "space combat" part of the game. Yes, that is more arcadey then MMO.....that IS disappointing. In regards to predictions on release....don't bet on July 1. I am thinking more like September to November with HOPE for September. I think the closer it get to Novemeber the less likey it will be to happen in 2011. Let's party like it is 1863! |

Originally posted by MMO.Maverick Without telling you how I know, I can assure everyone that the claim about beta testers complaining in the forums is complete and utter BS! In addition, anyone that has tried the game at PAX, etc will tell you that SWTOR is in excellent shape. You will NOT be disappointed! If only more devs had the professionalism, dedication and attention to detail that Bioware does. My text is green because my posts are created with Willpower!

Originally posted by S00S00 Its the fiscal, meaning financial, quarter, not calender quarter. 1st quarter is from April to June. 2nd is July to Sept. 3rd is Oct to Dec. 4th is Jan to Mar. Most companies and the goverment (Canada and the US) use this. Anyone with a basic knowledge of finances is aware of this. You, obviously, are not.
