The folks over at Gamesradar.com scored a post-launch interview with two comic heavyweights, Superstar Artist Jim Lee and Acclaimed Writer Marv Wolfman. To those of you who aren't familiar with the comics crowd, these two would also be known as the Executive Creative Director and Game Writer, respectively, on DC Universe Online.

id pay the subscription if it included marvel vs DC as a faction vs faction, or maybe heroes from dc and marvel vs villains of dc and marvel (2 stories in one).... creative story makers could make an interesting story based on DC and marvel as faction vs faction mmo... that would be the only reason id play this game cos i cant stand computer action mmos (attack mapped on mouse or control pad)... since that would never happen i wont play this game unles it becomes buy to play (no sub), i heard it already has microtransactions so.... why sub and not just buy, like GW / GW2? .... just talking about myself opinion here |

There are no micro transactions and there have not been any so far. There is an item shop kinda thing in the interface, its only been used for promotional codes so far. |

Said it before, but just throwing it out there again: I'm giving this game a year to mature before buying. That will mean I'll be able to pick it up alot cheaper, the Green Lantern expansion will have come out, and there should be a year's worth of content updates to keep me busy. Waiting is a win/win :) |

I do not think DCU will go free to play, its the kind of game that will see people subbing and unsubbing a lot or buying the relativly cheap life time subs. its a side dish MMO to play alongside your big game of choice be that wow, Rift, Tor, what ever.
ITs a fun game to dip in and out of and I am still very happy with my LTS for that reason. Promoting thought a new Gaming video blog http://www.youtube.com/user/quinnthalas discussing games, gamers and the internet with gameplay footage as background. |

I'm enjoying the game and the pop on last laugh is a bit better the last few days but with voice chat going it's a little hard to really know how many are playing. It's a good game for casual play but the types that play night and day are going to burn out quick on it. (for lots of reasons I won't go into here). As to the topic at hand: It's another lost interview. I mean, I am a BIG fan of Jim Lee comic art, and still I coundl't care less about his anecdotes about DCU. Who wants to know that? WHY didn't the journalist ask why DCU is in such a sad state and what SOE plans to do about it? THAT would be considerably more interesting than this tea-time babble. "Did you have a nice day, Mr Lee?" "Oh, dear yes, it is such a wonderful weather, isn't it?" Blah blah blah... "Things weren't better in the past. But a lot of things were GOOD, and they would STILL be, if people had stopped the fuck messing around with them!" |

Originally posted by MMO.Maverick Aww... prolly not. You're right. But this is so... uninteresting and unimportant. Especially at this time. "Things weren't better in the past. But a lot of things were GOOD, and they would STILL be, if people had stopped the fuck messing around with them!" |
