I wouldnt disagree if people would call it generic or even boring mostly due to the "have seen that have done that" effect.

But calling it a "unpolished turd" or claiming its graphics are "below those of WAR" or simply "not good" for an MMO is simply just trolling.

I admit that the Rifts, due to the current amount of players doing them  (at least in the early areas) are far too easy, but even so I am Greatly enjoying Rift and so is my gf who's spurned just about every MMO I've thrown at her.

We both have loads of fun and I personally find the soul tree system exciting and fun as heck.

Am I fanboy? Maybe.. I waited until open  beta before buying it and were greatly skeptical to begin with, but turns out that Rift is the game for me - at least until TOR and/or GW2 releases, and even then I'm not sure I'll put Rift on the shelf.

It's too bad you didn't enjoy it, but let's face it, no game is or ever will be for everyone so calling it a load of rubbish is... well.. rubbish.

The op has a point the RIFT can be annoying , but truth be told the rifts are needed to get souls ...

And seems this headstart they are really generous with the rifts , they are poping all over the place every 10 min or something.

Side bonus is that it gets you plenty of points for items you need to purchase from the reward store .

But negativity is that it ruins the questing sometimes with mass respawns of mobs all over the place .

Ah well what can I say , your are right its your opnion , dying again and again is never fun :P .

Guess people need to play a game where dying is not possible and moan its too easy ;)

Anyway if you think blizzard is redeemed I for one am glad you run back there to easy mode .

Seems the idiocy of people somehow has sunken to a level unprecedented in human history .

How is Blizzard Redeemed? there games worse Rift may be bad in my eyes, but Blizzard help shape the mmo genre in a bad way. Now everyones trying to copy diffrent things from it.

To answer all the questions-

Only played BETA for a day and got to level 4. So thats why i thought it was good. If i had of gone through the rift and started boring quests of firing cannons or collecting stupid artifacts then i would have ditched it asap. BORING LINEAR QUESTS simple as, seen it all before.

My PC is capable of anything maxxed out. At first i thought the graphics were great but then reality hit when i reached the first continent. They're not that good. The underwater effects are worse than WOW.

I can take or leave an MMO. Can't believe some people take my comments so much to heart. Am hardly gonna cry after losing £35. Just happen to know its gonna fall flat on its arse after 6 months. You continue to subscribe if you think its amazing.

One thing i can thank god is not paying extra for those turtle mounts lol. They don't even run right and look plain daft lol.

Oh no the game is polished but it doesn't have DX9000 graphics, baaaaaaw. RIFT is not a WoW killer but it's far from unpolished. Seriously go outside people and stop crying like 3 year olds. It's only a video game.

I played beta and wasnt impressed so that helped make me decide what im going to do and that was not to play the game. But as long as the people that do like it are happy thats also fine with me

You can't compare this game to WoW as it is now, with 6 years of expansions and content patches, as well as a multi-billion dollar company constantly devoted to it. Instead I compare it to WoW when it was first released. I find it slightly better than that, actually.

I hit level 23 today and the game gets better and better. If you really did buy the game, do yourself a favor and get your money's worth out of it. Also, try other classes/soul combinations; some are more fun to play than others. If you get to 30 and still don't like the game, fine, but it seems people give up on games far too quickly. It's an MMORPG that is meant to be played foe months or years. A day or two isn't a good trial.

Let me save you time. This is not a review. It is a flame thread.  The guy has already been reported for a reason because he is just trying to get people to argue. If the game sucked this bad where are the multiple threads? Also if this guy bought the game he obviously never read any reviews out there at all.

Trion does not hide the fact that questing is linear. There are also Rift public quest to level or Warfronts gives tons of xp or you can go run the instances for good xp too.

Linear btw in case noone knows is..I finish a quest here and I am not lost trying to figure out where to go. How is this a bad thing? This game is not pure linear. You are not forced to do the quest because there are so many other options to get xp.

Funny thing is....you dont see any "good" reviews on this thread till later on...because most people who enjoy the game aren't taking time away from the game to post here lol.

You don't like the game that fine I can see that.  But calling it un-polished makes you lose credibility. 

Game is very polished all in all and has very good preformance with huge battles.  Far far better than AoC or WAR had.  It destroys those game in performance where it matters.  Better than Aion too since I don't get crashes and I have been in fights in starter zone where there where about 100 players fight 100 NPCs.  Aion crashed when this happened.
