You should picket their main building to let them know.
It's the only way someone might care! :P.
Besides, we all know the only good game blizzard made was The Lost Vikings....... lol Couldn't keep a straight face. |

You suppose to have fun. Clearly more people have more fun when the game doesnt frustrate them enough that they punch their monitors or break controllers in half. Hard(er) =\= good. Omg u "win" cause u wasted 100 hours gathering meangless gear to kill a string of commands that is countered by the most dumb person in the earth, but at the end, stupid ppl do feel they "win" Well i dont want to feel better by a game that is simply created to give me that fake feeling for 60 bucks Woof! |

I enjoyed Diablo 1 and the first months in WoW before the abysmal expansions. Diablo 2 was like 640*480 at launch I was like wtf, then horrible sprites running amok around, subpar graphics, this was an unpleasant experience. Then having played Age of Empires and Command and Conquer I had to laugh at Warcraft 3 (the game that forces you to move on when your base is depleted conveying a false feeling of dynamism, actually ordering you around, handholding starting already there, before WoW brought it to perfection) with the weak attempt at RPG elements. The Warlords Battlecry series is so much better at doing this. Then the horrible Starcraft with its minimalist maps, ugly critters and zerg strategies (pump out units as fast as you can and destroy everything on your path *yawn*, feel tough lol). Age of Kings and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds had a real units and counter-units mechanism, underwater, water, ground, air units. Warcraft and Starcraft are crappy RTS, tried them 1 week and returned to real games. I only enjoyed Blizzard North from Diablo 1, a lot of devs left and are working elsewhere, the Blizzard from today is just a shadow of its former glory (and still won't distract a penny from their insane profits to police WoW channels btw, yeah this kind of vile behavior makes me angry). |

Ah, Blizzard. I remember the first game I ever played that they produced, Warcraft 1 on an old color Macintosh. I had never played an RTS game before, so this really set the standard for me. The movement mechanics were so simple, the resource collection so primitive, that a game like Command and Conquer would have probably blown my mind at the time. But it was this simplicity allowed for a depth of strategy really never seen before in an RTS game. It made multiplayer fun, a design style that was built upon in each of it's sequels. Fast forward to 2010... now we have Starcraft 2, which follows the same incredibly simplistic resource collection model, the same back and forth micro battles lacking things like environmental positioning or use of cover. And it has become the most influential competitive video game ever created. The amount of online attention the pro scene has received topples other series like Modern Warfare, Halo, and even the original Starcraft. Yeah, you might not like the game, but Blizzard sure as heck knows what they're doing. I have full expectations that Diablo 3 will set the new standard for the action RPG genre. |

Easily the best dev in the business with 3 massively successful franchises and arguably the no.1 game of all time.. World of Warcraft, love it or hate it its insurmountable and transformed the mmo genre forever by making it accessible and fun. Everything they touch turns to solid gold diamond encrusted goodness and with Diablo3 coming soon and the first game to actually deserve the title WOW Killer “Titan” to look forward to, these guys just go from strength to strength... how the hell could you not like em?? Oh that’s right you got yelled at in WOW by some idiot therefore the whole community sucks and your just jealous that your uber hardcore sandbox game with its 15 subscribers has as bout as much content as a wow starter zone...

Originally posted by Vryheid Diablo? RPG? ROFL. Action - yes, but there was no RPG part in any diablo game. If Diablo-3 will follow Diablo's series stantards then it will be just another arcade game. I'm 99.9% sure that Activision-Blizzard will make just one more acrade diablo sequel. |

Blizzard number one priority is not to make good games but to maximize profits. Sometimes those two are the same, sometimes they are not. Personally I hate Blizzard for changing MMORPGs to quasi multiplayer games, catering to casual players who does not want to be challenged but have everything handed to them. |

My love for Blizzard is almost on par with my love for Valve, and I would have Gabe's babies if I were not a man so thats saying something. I like Blizzard becouse every game they have ever made I enjoyed, they support their games and communicate pretty well with their fanbase. I also like them for what they spawned in a way. People leaving Blizz over the years have created some great dev studios themselves. Valve, Blizzard, Naughty Dog, Bioware and a few more are synonymous with great gaming. |

Except for the obvious RPG mechanics, such as health bars, user classes, loot, customizable gear and independent quest chains. Nor were ANY of them arcade games, considering that they have never actually appeared on an arcade machine. Perhaps you're confusing the series with Gauntlet. :-P |

Blizzard is fine in everything but their community representatives, it becomes glaringly apparent they are simply unqualified for the job after reading just a few of their posts. ![]() |

1. Without Blizzard there simply would no longer be a PC gaming market. All the other AAA game developpers went multi platform (with mostly the consoles as a first priority AND market). I don't even consider the other more traditional MMO makers video game makers. They didn't publish one yota worth of video games. And we have seen the results. 2. You don't agree? Look what happened to the Japan market (non Blizzard zone), 99% consoles and 1% PC. 3. Blizzard produced the most succesful game (money wise) in the 30 years of video gaming. No single produced game came close to gathering more than 6 Billion US dollars in 6 years. It was tx to the subscription fees that it could set this record EVEN when it had to confront multi platform (consoles) games. Be glad Blizzard was there to put PC gaming up there or you would all be gaming hollow console games. EDIT: It is quite obvious that the next big thing will come from cross platform subscriptions. My bet is the Call of Duty franchize in 2012-2013. Bobby Kotick is simply too smart in a world full of gamers. |

Originally posted by Vryheid Did you play Darksiders? This game have nice storytelling, intresting well animated and voiced characters. It also has abilities, inventory, loot, consumables, customizeable gear and quests. So why is this game called "Hack and slash" and "slasher"? Becouse it has no any true RPG elements like dialog chains and deep enough storytelling. Such games can't be roleplayed. Diablo games are the same slashers. Actually I find Darcsikers intresting game becouse it's not just about "player-kills-his-mouse-and-keybord". And becouse all its elements are well designed and polished. It's Darksiders who has set today's "hack and slash" game standards, not Diablo. |
