They get much better as you progress in the game, especially once you get into fights with Raven and other teen titan members.

I do agree that the writing should and could be better, but i dont think there is anything that we can do at this point post launch except for maybe a couple re-writes for important characters like superman, etc.

In my opinion the game stands on its own merits, like the combat and the open world enviornments and general freedoms presented in the game mechanics.

If anything I would think that people who dislike the voiceovers should start a petition to try and get them changed, try and do something positive for the game rather than bashing it. To me DCUO is actually a good different MMO, which is why i can overlook the terrible voiceovers.

Plus I mean come on some times they are at least laughable they are so bad. Mainly the "Investigate this area" lines lol.

Really, to each their own I guess. I mean, most of the voice acting within the main characters is done by professionals that do them in the animated films, etc. Heck, Mark Hamill is doing the Joker dialogue.

Some of the names are familiar and unsurprising, but still nice to have confirmed. Mark Hamill will be voicing The Joker once again, and Kevin Conroy returns as Batman. SOE highlighted the two returning actors with a short video on the DCUO site entitled "The Voices of the Game."

Fans of Joss Whedon's work were interested to see several familiar names in the list: Gina Torres as Wonder Woman, James Marsters as Lex Luthor, and Adam Baldwin as the voice of Superman.

Michelle Forbes rounds out the cast list list as the voice of Circe.
 

I get traditional MMO players having issues with the distinctly console style combat (I like it though) but the voice overs, and the fact there is a lot of it, was not something I would have guessed showing up as an issue. I guess people will complain about everything.

The voice overs made me realise how clumsy written text quests are.

No more MMO's without voice overs for me.

I think the voice overs are really well done! 

I'm enjoying the voice overs.  Maybe it's because I watched every DC cartoon that came out since the 90s, and recognize the actors voices.

Usually you get crappy voice overs or no voice overs in mmos.  I think this is the best voice over work of any mmo to be honest, one of the better points of DCUO, but to each their own opinion.

I love the inflections Mark Hamil uses when he say "my toys". He is simply wonderful I never thought when I saw that young boy in Star Wars he was so talented.

James Marsters thats so great, i remember always feeling familiar with Lex's voice but i never pinned it down.
