You pretty much read my mind.  Until I went through this thread and watched the videos I wasn't planning on trying this game out.  Before I saw these videos which reignited my interest this old video is what caused me to lose it some time back...

Those guys talking about the game are horrible.  If I had to compare it to anything I would imagine it would be like bringing a girl home from the club and finding the wrong kind of twinkie. But, seriously, I hope they aren't in charge of westernizing the game.

Anyways, the game is pretty (like Aion, which I liked).  I only hope it has a good storyline (Aion's was horrible) and that I enjoy the PvP.  If so, then i'll play it for a long time.  Aion's downfall (for me) was that the only thing that interested me in the game was the pretty graphics and the PvP.  So, once the population dwindled and I got bored of fighting the same handful of people in the Abyss (open PvP area) because the remaining players stayed in their PvE zones...I left the game.

I will admit though...I can deal with the little bunny girls...they're cute...admit it.  But, the panda race?  Come on, really?  I really want to know who has this fantasy.

The Lancer also seems pretty crappy.  If that class is the only "tank" I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of groups shouting for a Lancer.

Aside from this GW2 and SWTOR are the only other games I'm looking forward to trying.

You should visit the official site and look up some more videos if you are interested, there are some really awesome-looking ones out there :)

And what I quoted: no, the Lancer is not the only tank. There are two tanks in Tera, The Lancer is the typical protection tank with high defense, able to shield party members and take huge blows. (btw, he isn't as crappy as you think he is, I've seen quite some cool videos about the Lancer)

The other one is the Warrior, basically an evasion tank. The Warrior has higher damage, but cannot take as many blows.

The Berserker is sort of an off-tank, able to block attacks and reduce damage too.

So, if you like being the tank, the Lancer is not the only option. Just thought I should throw that in. Sorry if that was a bit off-topic.

Games like this are why I am embrassed to tell some of my IRL friends I play mmorpgs.....

So if your embrassed to play MMOs than that is your personal issue. You care too much about what people think of you. So maybe you need different friends. Once that will accept you even if you play an elf that shoots arrows over rainbows lol

Agreed. This guy seems like the type who's so insecure he would think that if he touched his girlfriend's makeupit would make him gay which is his worst fear in the world, as if it was something terrible

A skill based mmo ! yes please.

Im only hyped about this game,played the beta of Rift and it's another generic mmo with quest grind made for 5 year olds,GW2 will be an easy casual fest with no sub fees,and SW:Tor is a single player game with laughable group battle.

Again,another eastern mmo will dominate the western market,just like Aion did with War and AoC.

That video managed to show us so much gameplay without telling us anything, bravo! I still feel like I don't even know what the game is about besides combat, looks like it's going to be an Aion repeat with "action-combat" 

Has potential..... we will see.

So, when do you think they're going to start adding sex to MMO's? 

I mean most MMO's have girls 80% naked and Tera even has beastiality.

I loved Aion.  It had good graphics and PvP...until everyone left and I got bored of fighting the same 10 people in the abyss.  Too bad the story was bad and the voice actors had diaria of the mouth.

Yeah i agree with you, i don't get why they have to change the beautyfull korean voice actor into english, they should keep korean + subtitles even if they add more content. Asian has very skilled seiyuu, countrary i never see decent west actors related to online games.
