Okay so Im going to buy FFXIV. I suppose since it's free till it's "worthy" of being paid for I will purchase the game and play it a bit and play it till it becomes so bad I cant stand it anymore and if I like it then I have my new MMO and if it does indeed end up being total shit then I'll wait till they start making people pay and give it another shot and if its still bad then I would have only wasted 30 dollars(Go amazon!) . Just out of curiosity I don't know exactly why Im asking or why I've decided to buy this game perhaps I'm under the influence of some narcotic but whatever, Do I need to put my credit card on my square account? Or can I just set my payment option as those crystal things or whatever and just leave it at that? |

Yes you can 'pay' with crystals. I did same thing as you and playing casually I enjoy the game. |

Originally posted by Master10K Yeah it's probably pretty dumb of me to waste my money on a game I may or may not enjoy, but fuck with some games nowadays even if the game has little to no content and is just the same thing over and over it seems like a better waste of cash than most. I've already submited to the idea either I will be a life long fan of this game or it'll just be my hold over till another gem comes out.
So with that in mind, since I read that you can get it for 10 Euros which is what... 15 US? ANyone know of any sites cheaper than amazon to buy the game?
Also, anyone interested in a buddy to play the game with? I'll probably start playing after wendsday(when I get back from visiting family) |

Don't mind what people are saying here. yes we know game is big mess but there are far worse F2P games out there. Also the pirce has gone down so you will get your money worth. SE is not going to start charging any time soon so why not give it a try? i myself pop in every couple of weeks to see how things are going. |

Originally posted by kevjards1234 I also like the game and I enjoy myself when playing it. In any case I tend not to share the same tastes as many people. this is not to say that I don't have criticisms but I find the game enjoyable. |

Would anyone be able to give any input on which server is the most active? I think if anything will make me like this game it'll be a good linkshell and an active server. Nothing ruins and game more for me than not having both of those things. |

Looks like I'll have to grab the game as well, since I spotted it for mere 12€. I suppose that should be a big warning sign, but what the heck. |

I'm keeping an eye on the game, ive thought about buying it many times also and even tho most of the time negative feedback doesnt effect me too much the fact that the devs themselves repeat what unhappy customers have said im reluctant to buy it. However they seem to be constantly working on it, they keep having new events trying to keep the game entertaining for the existing player base, i am expecting and hoping to see much better reviews in a month. |

The best server is Besaid,it's a NA server (almost no JP's).
I don't know why would someone like to play with JP's,it's like playing a singleplayer game, they never talk, and if they do,you can't speak with them because the auto translator blows and it's really slow. And the same will happen with PS3 players (if the game is still alive).
Besaid,by far,check the bazaar here http://ffxiv.yg.com/
Which server has more auctions? |

You might even learn something instead of beeing xenophobic. Not to mention that most of the game items and phrases are the same as in english. Bihesuto = Behest etc. But, each to his own. ????????? |

Lindblum is nice and active. I had no problems with doing begest as level 20 with 10-15 people in party. Once you find LS you should have enough "chatty time" :) |

Originally posted by taus01 I don't know about you,but i can't stand a party where no one says anything. When i party,even in pugs,i like to talk with people,something i can't do with jp's.
Yes,you can learn "behest" or things like that, still not enough to have a conversation,i know it,you know it,but it doesn't matter, the white knight of SE will say you need to learn JP LOL.
That's why Besaid is the best server, almost everyone speaks english and it's one of the most "populated" servers. |
