Listen, I wasn't here to dog on this game. I had fun. It's just not what I was expecting. And when I referenced WWIIOL and Men of War it wasn't because those games are 'better', rather because I prefer the tank mechanics and combat in those games. 'Cool story bro.' Heck, I don't even play those games anymore. |

I've played this game for few weeks now. Enjoying it aswell. Great casual game. As many previous posters already mentioned, its a bloody Closed Beta. Whine about the flaws in the WoT suggestion forums. And something else i've laughed about, is i've joined some games, when ppl start to whine about imbalanced teams. And we end up winning. Even if they considered the teams unfair and imbalanced. I've seen so many bad high tier tank drivers now, So its not all about the tanks, need some strategy and brain aswell. |

Apart from that Ive posted several critiqual threads/posts about certain ingame issues and Ive never been banned. In fact I have had the support of several mods in atleast 2 threads Ive created so I really dont see this problem. If you get your account deleted its probably because you a) spammed b) just created random hate threads/posts. If Im wrong plz upload the nasty email they sent you.

I wish there was some kind of dota mod in Men of War, with AI controlled infantry and player controlled tanks. Would be fun, maybe even better than WoT. IZI MODO?! Ha-ha-ha! |

Originally posted by ikarrian ...And soon to become the longest CBT ever A bunch of new tanks and 2 maps every 2 months or so is not enough (as far as I am concerned) to justify a premium/paid account (which will be a must to have if you want to make enough credits and xp to enjoy those fancy high tiers tanks and their ammo/repair cost). Clan war? well, been clan free for over 6 months now and not a feature I am particularly looking fwd to. |

You can safely drive Tier 8 tanks without premium account.

The "issue" OP points out is not a problem of balance but match making. Furthermore it may not be an issue at all: There just may not be enough high tier players to get a high-tier-only battle. The lower tier tanks just fill up the ranks in those battles where there's not enough high tier players. Quite logical solution if you aim to have the maximum amount of players in every battle. Once the player numbers go up, the battles will have tanks that are more closely matched.
I wasn't arsed to check if anyone had answered this already. Very nice game this is. Extremely well made. Something different and refreshing. Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference. -Author unknown, attributed to Mark Twain |

Tier 3 tanks vs tier 7 tanks? Sorry but: where is the problem? It's not like one team consists only of tier 7, and the other only of tier 3. It's a mix in both teams. If you are a smaller tank in your team, you can still ignore the larger tanks of opponents and hunt down the smaller tanks, the artillery or the tank destroyers, which are all (at least from the rear) very lightly armored, and can also be destroyed by lower tier tanks. Not to mention that you can still load explosive ammonition, and aim at a larger tanks tracks or rear, to make it more vulnerable for the larger tanks in your team. You can also scout, and in the worst case: strategically clog up paths with your wreckage. :) And if I'm right, you also get a higher amount of xp if you do well as a low level tank compared to your opponents. And if you lose: who cares? Just join immediately another battle. I don't get people who want different classes or vehicles and stuff, and at the same time complain about balancing. You want balance? Play chess. Let's play Fallen Earth (from launch to present) |

It`s not a bad game, it looks cool and some things are fun... What`s not fun: - the cover bug rendering some tanks basically invisibile when they sit in a bush... and getting killed by an invisibile tank is not fun -SPG`s oneshotting any tank up to tier 8 and some tier 9 tanks- there are 10 tiers-...(and all tank destroyers too) - getting oneshotted and paying 15k credits for repairs when you make 5k that game is not fun - other bugs like hits not doing damage, etc Most of the issues will be fixed before beta ends(hopefully).
So far they game has improved a lot since the first day of beta(i`d know i was playing it then) and they are adding new maps quite often.
Also, it`s a free game where gold(the thing you buy with real money) does not give any major advantage so far. It`s main use it to give you more credits/xp to allow you to get a better tank faster... but it`s a 50% boost, so a free player will get there too, just a little slower. |

It was fun, 6 months of testing when it's been released in russia for months already is getting a bit silly though. No clan wars yet and even when it does appear the main feature of it is browser based.
Normally i would just chalk it up to beta but what yuo see if pretty much what youll get come release and if it can't keep me interested this long then i doubt i'll play it when it releases and they want money. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

If you don't like arty in WoT then I am afraid you will not be pleased to hear that more high tiers SPGs are due to come in action (Gtiger, Object 214,etc..) in the coming months. Personally I learnt to live with it, hopefully the total number of arties per side will be limited, no more 1/3 of the ORBAT filled with arty. I doubt WoT will become my favorite MMO nevertheless it should be a nice appetizer or routine breaker. This CBT is just way too long. |

Originally posted by DrOrpheus I don't know those games, but i have a serious feel they not anywhere close to combat system of WOT. The damage model is very complex - it takes thickness of every tank's element into account as well as angle at which the shell hits it, it's speed, range and more... As for the "balancing issue" - it's not because it's intentional. Every team has about equal amount of light/medium/heavy tanks, it's normal and it's realistic. Every tank has it's place - smaller/agile ones usualy do the scouting work for artilery and ATs Though when you play alone - balancer usualy don't throw you into matches where you'd be useless The only thing i'd complain about is artilery - it's mechanics should be changed. It would be nice if it shoot more but less accurately instead... |

They shouldnt have released the game in Russia. After they got their money they become lazy. They made a perfect payment system, hired lots of people to provide customer support yet only 1 game mode, crippled balance and leading game designer still trolling on ru forums... IZI MODO?! Ha-ha-ha! |

The new patch is out (with object 702, new artillery, T-54, M26 and panther 2)... finally... The good news: artillery was finally nerfed (no more omgwtf hummel from around the corner hit and runs, and other ridiculous shit)
edit:, oh lol, I wish you guys could understand russian, because 85% of leading game desingner posts are trolling and cause quite a lot of butthurt. I mean where else have you seen leading game designer trolling the players? Its up to you to decide if its fun or sad, or both... IZI MODO?! Ha-ha-ha! |

While I do agree that russian tanks have received much love in the game, I can't say the same thing about the later part of your statement. I'm driving a T29 (american heavy, fot those unfamiliar with the terms) and I'm having lots of fun. Surely enough, it does feel frustrating at times, but overall it's the best F2P I have ever tried out.

Each nation has got its pros/cons so you need to adapt your play-style accordingly. Germans tend to get accuracy whereas russians do more dmg, US being a good mix. I am yet to try any german heavies (tested RU up to IS4 and US to T29) but I have fully completed the german TD line and it was good fun, minor a few exceptions (Hetzer and JagdPzrIV). RU TDs are definitely not as fun and enjoyable. German scouts are also very good, I would not trade my Luchs for any RU or US light tank. So overall WoT is not russian biaised at all, in particular since the last update. |
