Removing radience, is like removing a players honor. I think once this change happens I wll not be logging in at all for atleast  a year. I just am so tired of mmorpg's trying to bend their games to achieve WoW numbers. Turbine would of never created this change, it is Warner Bros , and I'm sick of it to the point of just saying fuck mmorpgs altogether. I'm going to play Eq2  for awhile. Really shouldn't be as frustrated as I am, but I'm so fed up with fucking WoW  , you have no idea how much rage I have atm.

Radiance is horrible and a lame gate gear. It is generally hated in the LOTRO community and people have been asking for it to be banished to the pits of Mordor for years now. Can you articulate why you are so raged about the radiance change?

this is just the beginning, once they feel they can keep dumbing dow the game, they won't stop. I think my rage stems from the fact that I know they won't stop until they run off everyone who gave a shit about the game.  I haven't heard a word from Jeff Steffel at all, and all of the press and QanA are from assholes of WB.

I dont' think it's dumbing down at all. If they make player crafting more robust then we will have players making good gear again and I will be buying from them.

And believe me, Mr. Steefel was a nice enough man but he would be the first one to say "get rid of it". He was the one who made the decision to simplify the old forest because "getting lost wasn't fun".

Which for my taste isn't the case.

Besides he isn't the producer anymore as he has moved to another game at Turbine. Kait Paiz is.

But think about it. Instead of everyone having the same radiance gear you will get people with, perhaps , playerr made gear. It all won't be the same cookie cutter gear and they will have to come up wiht good strategy and good playing in order to complete instances as opposed to all wearing the same gear wiht the same stats.

That's not dumbing down in my book. It's having the players use what is at hand and the rest is up to their playing ability.

 Yeah clearly you are way out of the loop when it comes to LOTRO. Jeff isn't working on LOTRO anymore, the Executive Producer is Kate Paiz and she has been doing Producers Letters every month or so on the official LOTRO site. Also not sure what you mean by "assholes" from WB. The people I see giving Q and A's are the Producer and the Communications Director, both who work at Turbine.

There are people who like raiding. Heck I like it. I wouldn't do it like some wow players have as that's just plain nutty in my book.

But getting a group of players together to beat a hard set of conflicts can be fun. I've always had fun on lotro instances and the few raids I've been to.

But that's the thing. I don't punish myself by making myself run raids over and over and over and over, etc.

I do things that I find fun. If I'm not in the mood then I don't force myself to raid.

It's not "tired" if you don't make it so.

THis is almost to the point wohere it is becomg idiotic to even log in anymore. Not having those moments of helping people get rad coins and run the dungeons , no getting the excitement of getting your rad. That will be gone only a few who played through Dark Delving for 12 hours and had a blasted are soon forgotten by the gibve me give  give me to lazy do shit crowd.

Again, I have it, I'm not crying and I say good riddance.And I did have fun running the instances. And this was before you could run any one of them to get the coins. But I ran them becaue they were fun, not because running them meant I got radiance gear. Sorry you are mad though.

I get you are pissed and probably feel the same way I did when they made the old forest a linear tunnel with trees on the side.

But I think we will find many more people enjoying raids for the fun of it.

This radience Gear also pretty much kills Moria as a whole, why bother with it, ther is nothing there you can't get in Mirkwood. With removing the Rad they just removed 30% of the game .

Mabe creating games is easier for shit crowds cause they could care less, just as long as millions of other shitheads are playing to. Instead of making a quality product that maintains it's composer in the rough times and doesnt sell out as sson as it get difficult.

 Stop making false assumptions. Radiance hasn't been removed yet, and the instances will still exist. How do you know that the Radiance sets won't be turned into other sets that are still good without Radiance? I highly doubt they will just let those instances become obsolete, that would be pretty stupid of them.

Ok but what about doing Moria because the content is fun?

My sense is that you are a raider and your motives tend toward getting better gear and then tackling harder raids? that at least would make sense as to why you are miffed.

But lotro was never really a raiding game in the spirit of wow. It had some raids but wasn't somethign you spent an innordinate time on.

I had so much fun running those instances, that it makes me sad that many people wll simply skip it to get to end game faster. Having that hallmark gear made players run those dungeons, and that was smart content design.

Not taking it personal and I get that you are mad and I'm sorry you are. But I as well as others have not liked radiance gear for qutie some time.

for me it was a seemingly fake way to funnel players through certain content and to keep players from doing other content because they hadn't jumped through the right amount of hoops.

I can't get behind that type of gaming. In lineage 2 if people needed others for a raid they would put the word out and we would show up. regardless of gear.

I like that a game allows players to participate even though they aren't geared up and might fail. Otherwise it's just forcing players to the same content, the same gear and a certain level of homogenous customization.
