And the joke is PVP players. After 4 years of playing PVP in GW + doing all the different PVE missions, I've entered this "hall". Well, I got 10 points out of 50. That is how Anet appriciate their PVP gamers. All my GVGs amount to practicaly nothing. My Hero fights and my Team-arena and random arena amount to a few points. On the other hand any PVEer doing one pseudo GVG VS NPCS can place his hero there and get more points for his 10 minute effort than all those hours I spent GVGing. I suppose that is what Anet thinks of PVPers and how they position themself for GW2. It's a shame, I liked GW alot and have so much fun there, but GW2 does not look like going the same way. |

I've heard this complaint before and it is probably valid. However, if all you do is pvp then what do you care for any pve rewards? Most primarily pvpers that I know of could care less about the HoM. |

This is a prime example of i want my cake and eat it too, and my time is worth more than your time. Guess what, you spent the hardwork and time to pvp why complain? You obviously did it because it was fun and now that theres these "rewards" your cry about it? What I find funny is your complaining but you do still have points, which probably means either some of that was pvp or you got some of it from pve so its not like it was completely wasted you know, if you want it that badly then invest time in a DIFFERENT aspect of the game, it has many quit being so one sided. |

if your so good at PvP then i hope you won some of the huge cash prizes that Anet had...
as the PvE players do not get such prizes. you are all upset about some lower level items and a few pets (only if you play ranger) and mini pets. And of course the lack of PvP titles (oh wait some of the hardest ones to get in the game and ones that looked at very highly in GW) shows Anets true intent about PvP...what about the facts that you can PvP from level one. Or the facts that WvWvW is something people have been looking for since DAoC. Or the that fact that their structured PvP will be very competive and WvWvW will create server pride like DAoC....(one of the best PvP games of all time)
think.

Haven't you PVPers (who btw are the minority) screwed us PVErs enough? Everytime you abuse a skill Anet makes it less effective and when they don't make a seperate skill for PVP us PVErs, who aren't the problem, get the shaft. There are skills that were nerfed before I even got a chance to use them.

Originally posted by RameiArashi Welcome to Guild Wars where the number of PvP players is actually about equal to the number of PvE players. Then theres the PvX players who have equal number to the the PvE players. So really, the game is equally distributed into thirds PvP players, PvE players, and players who do both. Where blanace and blame is concerned, its actually a two-way street bub; both PvE and PvP can be blamed for ruining lots of builds: I used to have an awesome (albeit niche) Shadow Form pvp build, but you PvE farmers abused it so it had to get nerfed. Also, with EotN, PvE players got anything but shafted; you now have plenty of PvE only skills that outshine any damage that has ever been done by a nerf.
But now back to topic: yes PvP did get shafted a little when it comes to HoM rewards. As a PvX player, i can say I was little disappointed with the lack of embelishment the PvP titles recieved. They are truely hard to get, so I was hoping for more points from them intead of the measely 3 points plus however many you can get from stacking the number of monument tropheys. |

Originally posted by therez0 I'm one of the do both crowd in GW1. However, not the arena/ GvG style PvP, more the ABs, Jade Quarry / Aspenwood type. Casual PvP I guess you could call it? But, I easily PvE as much as PvP and, perhaps due to my casual take on PvP, don't really see a problem with the HoM being PvE based... it's part of a PvE expansion after all, and it's being used to tie one games PvE in with another games PvE. Hardcore PvPers in GW2 will have access to top gear and equality right off the bat, cosmetic items certainly won't give anyone an advantage in PvP. Probably the only advice I could offer to PvP folks is this (and it sucks, btw, so apologies for that), you already will have at least three points in the HoM. Do enough PvE content to unlock your HoM (plenty of people will help), then do things to grab a few more points if you wish. Give the PvE side another try. |

PvP players have plenty of rewards to cycle through already, cash prizes and PvPer only armor for example. What you have essentially done is get through some great armor rewards and set yourself up for an easy journey through the HoL if you desire.
Then again, 7 Points for only PvPing... is pretty impressive. Everything else could be bought with Z-Keys if you like. Cheers. People think it's fun to pretend your a monster. Me I spend my life pretending I'm not. - Dexter Morgan |

You can't expect to get all points if you play only pvp. the largest part of the game is PVE! |

Originally posted by redOrc Um... so you're complaining about how you PvPed too much and because of it "wasted time" and won't be getting many PvE rewards for GW2 because of it? Okay... Brb, going to watch the championship finals on observer mode of the #1 Mallyx farming group that will reward $10000, oh wait... Sorry, but you want PvE rewards for PvPing. |

There are things which you can put in HOM from PvP. Take Heroes Ascent for example. The chest has some very nice items in it which can be put in HOM. You also get points for some of your titles. Still, I think there should be a monument showcasing your PvP achievements. One monument isn't to much to ask. It can reward pvp items in GW2 (aka cool PvP skins or/and mini pets). Although then PvE-only players will go emo rage. I play both and I will aim for 50/50 :P |

It seems this turned out to be an argument between those that will and those that won't get items from HoM. Obviously this has little to do with rewarding loyal vets since those that engaged mostly in PvP are left out regardless of their investment in GW. Perhaps ANet will change this when they figure out this isn't a fair deal for all their vets but this clearly shows that their primary goal was selling more copies of GW on account of hype over GW2. |
