Revenge is a dish best served with mayonnaise and those little cheesy things on sticks. |

Wow, this got a quick Community Spotlight. For me: 1) Thane (DAoC). I will never, ever get tired of calling down Mjolnir on the enemies of Midgard. Even though I died a lot... hurling lightning and hitting people with hammers is a blast. 2) Ironbreaker (WAR). Warhammer Dwarfs are the best of any fantasy in my opinion, and the Ironbreaker exemplifies why they're so awesome. Clad in heavy armor, hauling giant axes & hammers, ready to repay the grudges they've accrued during their lives in kind. The Engineer and Runepriest are also fun, but I like the IB best. 3) Paladin (DAoC). Chaining those prayers (blessings? I can't even remember what they were called, but I know they were good lol) was important, and I liked the armor/weaponry the class could use. Plus, Albion was my favorite realm (but Midgard had the coolest classes). Anything but those damn Hibbies. I wonder if anyone will accuse me of being a Mythic fanboy? Rawr!

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did. |

Classes arent good IMO.
Pre-CU's system raped every class in every MMORPG. [Mod Edit] |

1. Has to be Reaver in DAoC, off tank with life tap capabilities and a whip that could do good damage and lifetap! 2. Cleric in Vanguard, completely plated out healer that could solo virtually every mob in the game due to its amazing defensive capability buffs, problem is it took like an hour cos of the poor dps, fun though! 3. Champion in LOTRO, a fun jack of all trades who could summon a squire type fellow to fight with him, really fun to play :). Currently playing : Darkfall |

Cabalist/Runemaster in Daoc - extremely tough to play, very high utility, and in 8v8 pvp every ability cast is a tough tactical decision. Templar in EQ2 - funnest pve class I've ever played, and the only healing class I've ever liked. Very fun, and the funnest class in EQ2 in my opinion. Stealth bomber in Wormhole combat in Eve Online - not really a class, but this "role" is my third favorite on the list. Empire pvp bores me to tears, but wormhole combat, which can be a very fun game of cat and mouse, and with so much effort going into the setup, really pays off and feels great to get a kill. |

No particular order... Shadowbane - nearly every class was memorable and fun to play because of the many possibilities when it came to customizing them. few off the top of my head that i enjoyed playing were assassin(mage or rogue), crusader, warrior(archer, blademaster), warlock(mage or high def), channelers(mage or healer), and the list goes on... Ultima Online - no classes but playing any variety of the available templates was fun. Archer/mage during that era. hally mage during precast. Mage after UO:R, lots of possibilities for speccing them. Thieves were a blast to play too. Guild Wars - Ritualist was really fun to play when they first came out and before I quit playing GW regularly. Could do great damage as well as keep yourself up under pressure or sit back and support your group. Mesmer was really fun too. Played other games but those are the games/classes that stand out to me. Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat |

a) I loved Shaman from Eq1. At least some was nostalgia factor because it was my first toon in an mmo. I still remember fooling around for a hour or so to get the cannibilize macro figured out. Later on it was fun soloing raid bosses ^_^
2) Necromancer from Guild Wars, I loved the casting animations and the idea of a legion of horrors as opposed to EQ's one pet. I remember raising a bone horror from a bosses corpse and saying "you work for ME now" :]
III) classes of ships count as mmo classes if they'refrom an mmo right? Titans from eve. the ship you begin with is in-game 12 or so meters long, the gallente titan is 14 KM from front to tip. EVERY eve player remembers where/when they saw their first titan, close-up. I remember being in eve university and a bunch of us all went out to 0.0 and begged some 0.0 corp to DD us just so we could see the animation hehehehehehe.
edit: honourable mention to RDM/NIN from ff11 and the "real men of genius" ret paladins of WoW Currently Playing EQ2, TERA Recommendation of a game you probably haven't tried: POTBS, Atlantica, L2 |

1. Monk EQ1 - Pulling will never exist at this level in any MMORPG, ever again. 2. Ninja FFXI - Very difficult class to play well, very fun if you know what you're doing. 3. Bard EQ1 - Do I even need to say anything about this? So fun.
As a matter of fact, if FFXIV doesn't shape up quickly, I'm probably going to go back to EQ1. Games just can't seem to get it right these days. |

1 - [Teras Kasi Master/ Master Doctor] -SWG PreNGE- TKM did truckloads of damage and on top of it had knockdown and stuns out the ass. When a TKM knocks you down the fight is pretty much over. Plus Master Doctor = free buffs and major heals.
2 - [Hunter] -WoW- The Hunter is truly splendid class. The Hunter was my main on wow for all my .....long years... lol. All jokes aside. Hunters were extremely versatile. There is a skill for every situation and the damage I could put out topped the charts every time.
3 - [Berserker] -Asherons Call 2- The Berserker was a Lugian class. They were an awesome melee DPS class. Dual weilding 2 swords, they had massive chain combos that would just wreak hell upon anything within close proximity. I loved it, damn I miss that game! |
