HEY everybody!

i just woke up xD and i thought id share my dream with you... what i saw, was an excellent idea for either a videogame OR an mmorpg... it started like a trailer alright? i saw meteors from the sky hit the ground.. like uhm... magic meteors.. and then how u had to group up and fight cool monsters in this BIG freaking world that looks like a creepy weird looking jungle.. with roots from the ground with thorns and stuff....and the story is that..you have to prevent the world from what happened many many many years ago.. and that was that these " magic meteors " contain humans, aliens, creatures no one has ever heard of.it has started again.. it has happend.. and now it happening again.. the world is almost reaching its end.. because of the population increasing from these meteors... and thats all i can come up with.. i dont know if you think its a good idea or not.. is it possible to do something from it =O tell me what you think! =)

You just 'woke up' right? Thats not code for had a bad weed trip or something? :)

It sounds a bit like War of the Worlds with some AC metaplot thrown in, and desginers do look for more lore than a paragraph. But hell the top two MMO releases in the last year only had about three quarters of a page of A4 as lore. So maybe you have something there.

Sounds like "The Day The Earth Stood Still" film to me. ^^

I pictured it more like a Tyranid Invasion.

Of course... you will make a trailer out of that which you could sell to a game development company... any company.

It's not like trailers have to do anything with the gameplay anyway.

I think you should start to write a dream diary. ^^ A friend of mine wrote some cool stories from his dreams. Try it out.

A few days ago I dreamed I was Batman. That was cool. XD

EDIT: If I get it right, the idea is you experience some doomed future and then return to the present to prevent it. Not a bad idea.

 You dreamd a mix of Smallville the series, Tabula Rasa a canceld game, mixed with some Avatar the movie and a slice of Monsters-movie

So unfortunaly nothing really orginal, but a mix of these could make up for a nice MMORPG, but unfortunaly we can all make up the most awesome and greatest games in our minds

I would say if you had more homework from school you might have better dreams. Im sure some will disagree but then you might be the next Brad McWade.

i think this is a great idea.. but im not really sure if i want to be the one.. lifting it up, if you know what i mean. maybe if some1 could contact me and i tell em my idea. ^^ maybe i have more dreams soon =O hah

Did I just hear someone describe Ryzom? That game has giant roots twisting through the sky and aliens hawking wares out of their spaceships.

hmm sure " Saga of ryzom " is a good game.. but what im seeing is a game more like allods online for example.. that kind of gameplay style..and the story needs to be the main thing about the game... lol im talking like im developing it xD HAHA! but no its nothing like ryzom.. not atleast what i saw
