NCSoft has announced server mergers in both North America and Europe beginning October 5, 2010. North American servers will be merged into a single server with the same happening in Europe. NCSoft is taking nominations for the new combined server names and has announced that any characters under level 20 that have not been played in the last year will be deleted when servers unite.

Read: "Player base has declined to the point that we need to merge everyone onto one server in order to stay profitable. We must do this quickly so that our share holders do not think us to be incompetent and take their money elsewhere." |

The only luck I had today was to have you as my opponent. |

did you know the world's oldest person was born in 1875 and died in 2001? or in that area. point is she lived 121 years. Imagine what life must look like now in 2000s compared to 1890s when she was a teenager.
to the point, you say?
Lineage 2 is from a generation so long gone and so different than its very existence is impressive.
making one server with healthy population must be an amazing experience for the players.

Well, I'm glad it's still going. The server merge will certainly help the game more than hinder it. At this point, those who are in it for the long haul are "in it". So having a healthy population is important. Heck, I'd still be playing if it wasn't for the brutal economy. Good that they aren't canceling it. |

Good news for the Lineage fans i guess, Nothing worse then playing on ghost servers =/ Ive always wanted to try this game, maybe ill give it a go now after the server merges, should be plenty of people to group with and stuff then i guess :)
How many servers do they have each in US and EU? Before the merge that is. Currently playing: EvE Online, Mount & Blade: Warband, Skyrim. Waiting for Guild Wars 2 |

The one thing that has always gotten me about mmo's isnt the population of the server.. There will always be population at end game.. But the newbie areas and leveling areas and grinding areas are always a ghost town in any mmo older then a year.. |

Originally posted by th30dor My first mmo also, I still think my first castle siege was the most epic mmo experience i've ever had. Still the best mass pvp concept i've seen in an mmo. Man I spent countless hours on this game leveling, I think it took me like a whole year to get 60+ and that was playing pretty hardcore. |

NC Soft has made it alot easier than in the begining to advance in levels. The grind is still there, but you no longer have to spend months to get up where their are other players around. Following the newbie guides quest chain can for some class's get you through the new charecter area's in one hour or less with little to no adena (game currency) spent. There is adventure guides in evry town now that will give one hour buffs to charecters under lvl 76. In short the merge will breathe life into the game once agian. I am currently a player of two accounts and have been playing since open beta back in 2004. I am looking forward to the new merges, but am aware that many of the people in game are upset. This I believe is due to the challege that will arise from castle owners having to retake the castles they once held with little to no opisition. In short there will be lively pvp action agian. |

Why does NCSoft not get the point that L2 is dead in US/EU? |

So instead of having two servers full of bots and cheats they are going to condense it down to one, well done NCSoft for nothing.
I hope they go out of business they have brought it on themselves, you cant contatct a Gm, you cant get help with cheats and botters the game was finished years ago, good riddence to it. |
