Good Day,

     Trying to log in as I finally have a day off to really play and put the game through it's paces and am not able to connect to the lobby servers.... is the game down currently? Anyone know where I can check?

On Sep. 5, 2010 at 10:00 (PDT), a new update for the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version went live.
The version upgrade will begin automatically when FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test client is launched.

as far as I know it's still down trying to get on right now and I can't

still down on my end keep getting an error 1015 on char sel screen

As far as i know you're not authorised to log on.

Because it's on maintnance.

Honestly, everyone just needs to relax, we all have problems and crap in our lives... we should all just relax and realize we all have something in common. A love for a good, no great MMORPG (Whatever game you choose) and we should be happy that we, and yes I mean all of us have the priviledge of coming here to chat about we do or do not like.

There is no gender, race, or class too white/black, asian, or whatever on the internet. Just Trolls, Fanbois, and lurkers.. and really in the end... isn't it all just the same thing :)

If like most developers, the official response will be "soon" until it's "The servers are back up". Even if they gave an estimated time it is usually extended 2 or 3 times at 2 hours each.

If you're looking for no stress then go do something else, try logging in every 30 minutes or so until it's bedtime then go to bed.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't that riled up over it, just kinda like the OP - wondering when they'd be back.  The beta site doesn't seem to wanna let me log in, and FFXIVCore's forums are a bit of a mess, but don't seem to have a real clue either so I guess that's probably as good as it gets for now, heh.

@Averros; I haven't decided anything whatsoever yet.  I pretty much just made a character, picked a random server, logged in, and got to the first town after some cutscenes and a short few fights.  I've played all of maybe 15 minutes; just long enough to figure out how to re-map my keys and - like I said - get through the initial intro.
