From all the music I've heard, I think Fallout 3 is the best so far for me. The old 1950's music from Galaxy Radio fits really well especially in some parts like Flamethrower to an enemy while the radio is player "I Don't Want To Set the World On Fire" by The Ink Spots. FPS-wise, I think the soundtrack from Perfect Dark is pretty good. The spy-ish, ominous music as you play multiplayer is pretty sweet. I tried playing it while playing Splinter Cell and it was great. |

Oddly enough my favorite music is from the first 2 Age of Empires games.
That music fit the game so well and really got stuck in my head.

Only one mention of final fantasy music, and its for 13? Well, I guess that makes sense seeing as this is PC gaming... so I'll go with Final Fantasy XI. Haven't seen enough of FFXIV to be 100% sure as of yet, but the music was pretty good in beta. |

AoC and Guild Wars, good stuff. I enjoyed the Assassins Creed music as well. I'm kind of partial to this song. |

ActRaiser, hand's down. Seriously... for it's time it was amazing, and it still is. Anyone else remember it? |

Another one popped into my head, the theme song for a Rome: Total War mod called Europa Barbarorum (back in the day!). I thought of it when I listened to the song Strands linked.

One of the things keeping me so hooked and absorbed in to Lineage II is the soundtrack. NCSoft actually hosts the entire soundtrack on the main website @ http://www.lineage2.com/pds/pds_music.html
Great work on some of the songs. It makes me feel like I have a theatrical movie or something playing in the background. I've actually gone in to the game a few times thinking I'll turn off the game music and listen to one of my own albums, but I usually end up turning off my music instead. I hope they'll get the intro music to the Freya update on the website soon. That's one of their best intros so far.
Here's the Freya intro music to give you an idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEah0QU5Oj0 |

Metal Gear Solid "Best is yet to come" in Gaelic . That one gives me goose bumps. Also the other one from Metal gear solid the love theme in Yiddish. All very atmospheric. Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Here are a few piano adaptations that are pretty incredible. |
