Torchlight 2 developer, Runic Games, has released the first trailer showing off multiplayer action. The video starts with a reminder that what kept most people from giving the original Torchlight a perfect 10 was the lack of multiplayer. The video then goes on to show in-game footage of players working cooperatively in several overland locations.

Why couldnt they have pacthed into the first one with the multiplayer functionality, i feel like all of the things i've- done in the first game are like all for nothing now. (Thank the heavens i went mod crazy)

THIS torchlight - yes.

THE torchlight in gamelist - the TorchMMORPG which will come out after TorchlightII and yes TorchMMORPG is fullscale mmorpg expected to go into beta somewhere mid/end of 2011

If they would actually release some new info about Diablo III, I don't see why not. 

Looks nice, played the first one abit. Gonna be alot more fun with multiplayer.

Hopefully the MMO will turn out good, cant wait to hear more about that. But i think i will pick GW2 over a Torchlight MMO =/

The core creators of Torchlight are the minds that came up with the original diablo and diablo2 before leaving blizzard and creating their own company (twice)

They are after some of that Diablo III money being released in Q1 2011.

Yeah, they made Hellgate: London, Mythos, Torchlight, are working on Torchlight 2 and Torchlight MMO not because that's the style of game they love to make and play, but because they want some of that Diablo III money.

I'm going with your "or" there SgtFrog. Also, he should play the game. It's as good as the Diablo series, if not better. I dunno if any of the versions of Torchlight will beat Diablo 3 though. But ya, they are REALLY good at making these games, so that is what they did, simple as that.

They just announced the "Caravan Feature" for Diablo III on the main Blizzard site just yesterday. Also they're expected to announce one more final playable character class at BlizzCon this year.

 I think my sarcasm was lost here, I was being an ass to the poster above me.  I'm the one that left MMORPG.com the tip, trust me, my hype for Torchlight is waaaaay higher than for Diablo III. Diablo III is barely on my radar anymore.
