I beleive in life before death... So dont forget to enjoy it while you still can. |
GW2 is not nominated in the cattegory best game of the show, go figure, SW:TOR is. Tough GW2 has been nominated in the cattegory best online game.
Currently i am a super hero in DCUO. |

Oh the irony.
both are games and both are online, so if GW2 gets best online game, and SW:TOR gets best game then you have a problem |

Things could get interesting.... I wouldn't expect gw2 to get nominated anyway since the hype only recently started to skyrocket but it seems kinda weird cataclysm isn't there. If any game loses the award for category and wins best game it's a bit suspect especially if it's the only game with a nomination for best game. |

GW2 doesn't have enough hype behind it just yet. It's funny that both games are nominated for best online though. Cataclysm might not appear for best game as it's an expansion, just speculating though. |

I would say it is a political decision. Both games are going to be big and hard to ignore. Since SW:TOR may due to the IP also be known to individuals outside of the MMO-sphere, the gave it the best game nomination, while GW2 received the other one. This way it creates hype for both games. |

I don't think there will be a problem with SWTOR winning game of the show, it has some pretty stiff competition, and I think GT5 will have a very good showing--dare I say good enough to win. Also, don't hold out hope for either SWTOR or GW2 to win the Online game category, Blizzard has pile nominated in that category too, and we all know how Activision/Blizzard has a way culling votes it doesn't deserve. |

Yea , they may have 1 million accountson mmorpg forum, but half of those are people that don't use the forums, or have multiple accounts to post with.
Maybe there are people out there that don't post here that like the game? |

My assumption is that their is no footage or gameplay shown any of the new and cool features they are promoting, just videos of devs and art teams inspiring viewers. But, im sure they will get credit as this year comes to a close. Making so much noise you dont know when to listen. |

Originally posted by sungodra no I never consider this site when I regard gw2's increase in hype. I'm talking about how it's almost always in the top 5 ranked games at game trailers whenever ArenaNet releases a new video and is quite often number 1. How it was the most hyped pc game on gamspot.com for a while after the manifesto trailer came out with not another mmo in sight, while rankd 4 overall on the website, how ign it was ranked 7 highest ranked game again without another mmo in sight on the top 10. Originally posted by Warband Well, I am sure plenty of people are in for a big dissapointment. Folks need to stop playing follow the leader and find out what they like themselves instead of just listening to what a few MMO site forum trolls have had to say about a game.

Originally posted by Warband oh shut up, you know as well as I know that the people on these forums are promoting an agenda. Also, that gamespot lists AOC as one of the top rated games. I don't go by what other players on forums have to say about a game. I go by what I think a game should be and how it looks from my own point of view. |

You wont accomplish anything by putting down the game on this forum since only about 5 percent of people that play MMO give a fuck about talking on forums and it is mainly because of the trolls that have ruined the internet everywhere you go."" I think both SWTOR and GW2 will be great games when they finally release, despite hype or many different opinions on the matter, but the nomination process is not as important as word of mouth in this outcome. Constuctive criticism/coments are the way forward. Populous: http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1014633/Classic-Game-Postmortem |

Originally posted by sungodra The AoC expansion got an 8.5 by most reviewers game that expansion roughly the same score. It's a good expansion and there haven't really been many games deserving of an 8.5 or higher rating recently. Anyway the problem is your point of view is barely backed up by any facts because you rarely state your opinions on things you have actually researched and know about. I could make up a random opinions on anything without a scrap of evidence and state it almost as fact like you generally do. That doesn't change the fact it makes me look like a complete moron to anyone that actually knows what they're talking about. The simple lesson is argue on things you actually know about and have detailed facts about, ask politely questions about things you don't know about or research the answers yourself. Don't make assumptions on things you barely know anything about otherwise you come of as a troll. |

Another thing that baffles me. Everyone on these forums are always bitching about having no restrictions, well looks like this game doesn't have alot of variety at all. The game will be simple and small. With super graphics and outstanding videos to lure people in. |

PROOF THAT GW2 Is like GW1 from their home site.
How is Guild Wars 2 different from other MMOs?While Guild Wars 2 adds a persistent-world experience, it retains the unique characteristics of the original game, including strong narrative, extensive instanced gameplay, anti-grind design philosophy, and strong support for competitive play. |

Originally posted by sungodra This only proofs that you lack reading comprehension. Your own quote says that GW2 adds a persistant world, while including instances. That means persistant world AND instances. GW1 doesnt have a persistant world. It amazes me how you could miss this and that you keep repeating yourself with this. If you think GW2 will be like GW1 because it ALSO has instances, then SWG, AO, WoW, LOTRO, EQ2 are all like GW1 according to your logic. |
