haha you have no idea what your talking about. but we knew that from your first post. Devs have already stated that there will be many vs many battles. Again you just saw a low level youtube battle.

 He has to take it personally, can't you see, he is preaching that his way is the right way.  Apparantly he can't stand any form of confrontation w/o resorting to name calling though, typical.. That's why I have 0 tact and refuse to be anything that might be remotly considered kind to these kinds of people.  They deserve the lashings they take, even if it costs me a warning or a temp ban.

im the one acting that way? ROFL WUT? i was called a troll, a WOW player (which im not) and several other things first.... if anything, those that are "defending" their game are the ones acting childish and ridiculous.

 uh its true theres no pvp in ffxiv, nor will it be there at launch, I never said it would never have PvP.  I know they said there will be in the future, but the future is far off, and ffxi didnt get pvp until years after release.

I am glad you realize that I have the superior intellect here, so go on type some other bs so i can keep correcting you. Because I am really bored atm and still have about 40 min to kill.

FFXIV solo combat will be much simpler than a stand alone adventure game.

FFXIV group combat has potential to be more complex than any solo game can hope for.  We'll see if they pull it off.

I don't see why these actions are needed. The game instead of focusing on useless actions such as these they focused on making the game unique and fun. I'm pretty sure you can't jump in dragon age, yet millions of people love that. I'm pretty sure never before have you been able to do any of these actions in Final Fantasy, so why now? To appeal to the masses instead of keeping the focus on making the game as fun as possible for the niche group that loves the franchise, which encompasses millions and millions of people. I'm just saying...

Different strokes for different folks.  Not every game has to be the same.

The market is already flooded with fast combat, bunny hopping, PvP heavy, keyboard mashing games.  I just find it ludicrous that if a single game is being produced that does something a little different, people will come crawling out of the woodwork to criticize the game.  These people will then go on to later post about how they want something "fresh & innovative" about 50% of the time.

i made a comment based on a video that was linked to show how "superior" FFXIVs combat is supposed to be.... which it is not. it looks generic, and slow. im sorry you cant tell the difference.

must be hard getting through life without understanding sarcasm, or when someone is laughing at you at your expense...

It's pretty stupid if you don't try/play a game because it doesn't have jumping/swimming/sitting.

I wonder how many of those who voted 'No' werent planning on playing the game even before word of no jumping or swimming was released. It might be beneficial for the topic if another poll choice was added for those who were simply not interested in the game regardless of reason and felt like voting anyway.

They're negative comments with no substance. "This sucks, that's a joke, all of it's crappy" Is not constructive or helpful. You come off telling people that do like the beta, ffxi or want to like ffxiv that everything they like about this sucks, so in turn you're saying they suck, regardless if you mean it that's how it gets interpreted.

You're spitting in peoples eyes and their only recourse is to spit back, leading to a pointless message board flaming. I realize you don't want to be constructive, then don't bother posting. If all you do is say how awful something is then you know the only response you're going to get are these. It's your fault that happened. If you want a better discourse, state what you think better. If all you want to do is flame, understand your position is flawed and you won't get many good answers back because you can't ARGUE against a flame, only take it and ignore it.

As for me personally, combat looks awfully slow at like level 1, but most games are slow. That group video looked better and it's stated somewhere I thought they were high physical levels but like level 1 ranks with those weapons, so they don't have any skills anyway. I believe I read that anyway. As far having the ability to phsycailly manuever my character in the world, I don't like not having it but it's not a game breaker. I understand jumping can cause problems in a huge mmo where combing over every single area to make sure people can't get stuck is probably hard, annoying and the job would never be done. Not to mention it can cause glitching and bugs if people are able to get around where they shouldn't. Swimming also has litle point if you don't plan to put anything in the water. I realize all of that but I like for my character to have options available to them, if I want to emote, jump over a rock, swim in a lake etc, I'd like to do it. It won't stop me from playing and eventually it'll just be how the game is in my mind, but at first I know I'll have a little "aww, can't do that" feeling in my gut.
