We should form a group of people to de-hype all NCfail games to be honest. Make sure everything they put out fails. And as they sit there wondering why they have no subsribers we will send them all emails saying " we are sorry but your games have been banned by the consumer, for more information contact www.whogivesaf$ck.com " |

Ouch! Not even a year old and its already had merges and now free welcome back weekends. Its sad ... but yet I somehow feel glad its happening. Since beta people have warned and pleaded with NCSoft through countless great sggestions to make the game a success and realize the awesome potential the game had yet NCSoft chose to ignore it. Even a year later you have barely begun to scratch the surface of what is needed. I do not pitty you NCSoft, and hope they go out of business with their name is forever remembered as one of the worst MMO companies in history. |

I'd pop in for a reactivation but there I feel there is nothing fun for me to do, neither pve or pvp-wise. And I don't feel like logging in and failing some more on the alchemy just for the sake of it... |

Getting the account back takes all of 5-10 minutes. I've had success getting my perma banned Aion account back (which they could have kept for all I care), and I've had great success getting my old GW1 account back. Don't e-mail... only morons e-mail. |

Heh, my account runs out tomorrow and my girlfriend's ran out at the end of last week. Lost her name on the account merger to an Asmodian (she's Elyos) 6 levels below her. Filed the name-change appeal twice, and has not received a response. I'm sure others got that appeal fine, and she's just an exception, but it's an exception that's costing them a few more subs. Needless to say, we won't be bothering this weekend, or any return weekend. She was actually planning to return eventually, but with the no response to her appeal and her main's name lost, she doesn't have any plan to return now. To top it all of, we tried going to Guild Wars, but she can no longer log in to her Guild Wars account. E-mailed support and guess what? No response. She doesn't even want to bother calling them anymore. NC West might be leashed by NC Korea, but their customer support has been absolutely shitty to us. And that is something they definitely control. |

It showed so much potential when we were all beta-testing it . We all warned the massive grind would be its undoing and noone listened. Even after release we were practically begging NCsoft to do something ASAP to stop the mass exodus from EU and NA servers . All to no avail: even while players were quiitng the game en masse they were still too busy selling new boxes to bother with the existing playerbase. I don't know a single player myself who left that game who is even considering to return to it. They had their chance- more than one in fact - and they blew it big time.
Added to that is the incredible lacklustre support . Even after release we had one GM active in EU most of the time and he only used twitter to communicate and only in German at that . The forums were a joke as was the actual support from NCsoft itself in case of account issues . They didn't learn anything from the Lineage 2 experience and just released this game in western hemisphere as an afterthought instead of taking this market serious ( they made the same mistake with Tabula Rasa, halfhearted in supporting it and canceling after barely a year which is ludicrous for an MMO ) . I had hoped Arenanet would have left this awful company and look for another publisher but it wasn't to be.....
