How come a lot of guys like to watch two females kiss, but a lot of females don't like to watch two guys kiss? The answer is different genetics, the way guys think and work is different from the way women think and work. There is no necessary overly complicated psychological explanations, the sexes think different, act different, work different.

I'm sure a lot of females wouldn't mind if they had back story for that kiss. Like if those two guys really really wanted to be together blah blah blah insert boring romantic crap. Females like that stuff. The kissing is irrelevant as long as the reason for it is pure hearted. Whereas for guys, they are visual and really don't give a damn if they chicks started kissing after mud wrestling or a drunken night. It's all the same as long as they can wank off to it. -_- 

(yes I know some people don't fit in these two groupings but it's true for the majority) 

It's why so many girls like twilight, because they want to be loved unconditionally. (pathetic in my opinion) They want to hold males to unrealistic expectations, having the perfect guy without having to work on themselves. 

And guys like action movies because there really isn't too much storyline or tie down just hot chicks, fast cars, and explosions. Instant gratification. No hard foreplay. 

A lot of women play male characters, My wife had had more male than female toons in every game we played together. With her it was more to do with what her concept of a toons class so all of her tanks classes would be male and her healers would all tend to be female, classes like bards and mages could be both depending on her idea for that persona.

One guild we joined years back the women outnumber the men by almost 2/3 and most of them had both male and female toons, some even played males exclusively  so they would not be bothered by boys.

You probably met a lot of female gamers roleplaying male toons, but they do so to avoid people flirting with them so they dont usually say they are female.

Guys are visually driven, sexually. Women are driven by touch. So having a male toon does little for them, I hate to say it. Many guys who play female toons are not role players either, their actual purpose is they rather look at a girl than a guy. Looking at a guy does nothing for a girl, because she isn't visually that attracted. It's the same reason more men watch certain unacceptable materials than females.

You're probably not acting in a way that sets off that whole protection gene thing males have going on. I have yet to not get something or be hit on within 20 hours of playing a game. But then again I am a very social player, I strike up conversations, joke around, and am very open. Therefore I usually get asked more often then not. It's a lot like in real life, if you are a female in-game and seem unapproachable and don't want them to talk to you, they usually won't. Unless they are weirdos... 

Also I think the percentage is actually equal if you think about it. There are just less females so of course you run into less females rolling males. Also you have to remember, never believe someone is a female unless you hear their voice. It's a lot easier for a guy to pretend to be a young female due to stereotypes, however if you actually 'speak' to an adult female and male there is very very little difference in how they will say things. 

 I almost took offense though you were going to say I wasn't a pretty girl j/k.  but yeah that may have something to do with it because I tend to solo and generally am unapporachable in that if you don't address me with a very direct question then I'll probably just go on with my business.  And another good point you make the females I've gamed with are far more friendly than I am.

 Maybe it's the fact that I'm a musician and happen to meet alot of "party girls" but that's not true I know plenty of women who would like to see two guys kissing.  And while I agree it may be more common for men to want to see that I think it also goes with saying that women are much less likely to seperate sex/love/passion like men do we compartmentalize that stuff in two seconds if we think we can get a rise out of someone or someone can get a rise out of us.

Easy answer is in most games the female character looks better.  Males look like clumsy linebackers while the women outside of the breast areas are generally true to form and the armor looks better on them. Especially cloth armor.

The probably more correct answer...its a bunch of horny undersexed perverts who secretly jerks off to their avatar.

Caster Characters usually are Female, Physical DPS(Ranged or Melee) Characters tend to be Male. Least thats how I generally choose gender.

whenever I play any mmo, I always pick the male avatar.  some one mentioned that .. maybe you like looking at some dude's ass all day running about., but I say .. hmm.. " I really have a nice ass.." you see I don't see the character I create as another person, I see them as another extension of me within that fantasy world Im playing.

in the end its just a game.  there's no right or wrong as long as you're having fun.  as long as your not stalking some minor or any unwilling participant to your little sick games. >.<

There's one reason I sometimes roll a female character:   ELVES

There is an unwritten rule it seems that all male elves must be feminine in their movements and posture.  If my character is going to prance around like a cheerleader, it may as well at least be female.

Oh look, another thread based on the 'Why guys play female toons'. The one topic that never, ever dies. I remember replying to one 6 years ago on SWG forums.

Guys playing female toons is an anomaly of vast proportions. It is so very wrong to do this. We should single these players out and condemn them, ridicle them, and banish them out of the MMO community forever. They are a disease. /sarcasm

The only games I've ever "played" as a female character were Borderlands (Siren) and Zoey (Left 4 Dead).

I'm a stickler for playing the same gender, but in those games you don't have a choice since it's all pre-determined.  Playing a female character in an MMO as a male irl is just wrong on so many levels.  If you want to stare at TnA, ffs at least look at the real thing (even online if you're too socially inept to get the real thing).

Men want to fap to their avatars, and women want to get attention for being women. 

Or... I dunno this seems to be the best generalization I can come up with. I play female toons and try to make them have my characteristics, because I want to translate myself into the video game the best I can. I had a good homosexual male friend, who played female toons because that's how he felt on the inside. I prefer it when people play the gender they are in real life, but whatever floats everyones boat *shrug*. 

I would say probably for the same reason blokes dont play blokes lol...because for the most part they are just hideous or they look a tad bit on the gay side....now is it more gay to play a full blown girl or to play a tad bit gay looking guy...i don't know really

But being honest i would have to say it is because most girls play a toon that in a way represents them where as guys play toons they please them visually, so it is a couple of things in my mind, they like to perv at computer animated characters because they are a little bit on the sad side in real life or they play girl toon because that is what they wished there girlfriend/ dog /horse looked like either way it is still sad.
