NASA's new mission is to give the Muslims some self esteem? WTF

But maybe Muslims need some self esteem when it comes to science.   Much of the Islamic world seems stuck in the middle ages.  

Take the science of Archeology.   I heard this on NPR this morning.   Quote from Maureen Dowd telling about her travels in Saudi Arabia. 

"So the tourism commissioner is sending the emirs and governors over to Italy and Spain to look at how they appreciate old buildings. And that's partly because they didn't appreciate architecture because they didn't want to find anything that was pre-Islamic, and they have just beautiful ruins, very much like Petra, called Madain Saleh. But it's pre-Islamic. So there was hesitation about even restoring it as a tourist site."

edit: This reminds me to the Orangatangs in the original Planet of the Apes.   Where the caves in the outlands were off limits because of what would be found there.

Yes, that's what he's saying.  It's of the liberal mind set to try to get along with everyone.  To excuse yourself even when you're right.  To ask for forgiveness for actually working to make yourself better and more powerful.

That's why Obama has been globetrotting this whole time apologizing for America.  He likes to show weakness.  Like a dog that pulls it's ears back and then rolls over on it's back exposing its belly to show submission. 

It's all predictable from this administration.  Why do you think he was apologizing to the Mexican president when he was just here?
