NASA's new mission is to give the Muslims some self esteem? WTF Quote from Charles Bolden administrator of NASA When I became the NASA Administrator — before I became the NASA Administrator — [Obama] charged me with three things: One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.
Damn I thought NASA's job was to explore space. |

Why the Muslims? Fuck the Muslims. 3rd world country trash. Why not the Hindus? There are more Hindus in the world anyway and I don't think they're trying to do anything to get into space. |

But maybe Muslims need some self esteem when it comes to science. Much of the Islamic world seems stuck in the middle ages. Take the science of Archeology. I heard this on NPR this morning. Quote from Maureen Dowd telling about her travels in Saudi Arabia. "So the tourism commissioner is sending the emirs and governors over to Italy and Spain to look at how they appreciate old buildings. And that's partly because they didn't appreciate architecture because they didn't want to find anything that was pre-Islamic, and they have just beautiful ruins, very much like Petra, called Madain Saleh. But it's pre-Islamic. So there was hesitation about even restoring it as a tourist site." edit: This reminds me to the Orangatangs in the original Planet of the Apes. Where the caves in the outlands were off limits because of what would be found there. |

Look at the youtube description of this clip: "Charles Bolden, the NASA administrator, in conversation with Al Jazeera's Imran Garda." Now why do you think he would go say those things? |

Originally posted by Vomikron Yes, that's what he's saying. It's of the liberal mind set to try to get along with everyone. To excuse yourself even when you're right. To ask for forgiveness for actually working to make yourself better and more powerful. That's why Obama has been globetrotting this whole time apologizing for America. He likes to show weakness. Like a dog that pulls it's ears back and then rolls over on it's back exposing its belly to show submission. It's all predictable from this administration. Why do you think he was apologizing to the Mexican president when he was just here? =============================== |

Wow NASA isn't looking very patriotic/christiany right now. Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL! |

Maybe we could use the Space Program to give radical Islamic Mullahs a one way ticket to space. That would help the whole world, including Muslims! |

The Muslim says...Hey I'm only interested learning to fly the damn thing, not land it. Trade in material assumptions for spiritual facts and make permanent progress. |

According to Mr. Bolden, NASA engineers are already “close to testing” a solid rocket booster powered by combustible animal dung, and operated according to principles discovered by Ibn Al-haytham, Islam’s best-known scientist, who died in 1039 A.D.. Meanwhile, the chief researcher at Yemen’s Muslim World University welcomed the president’s announcement, and offered his colleagues assistance in “targeting the moon landing so that the Muslim astronaut could plant the flag of Islam precisely on the lower tip of the lunar crescent, offering him a clear view of that really big star.” Trade in material assumptions for spiritual facts and make permanent progress. |
