I see far to many clueless and raging threads on why its stupid/how its NEW AND AMAZING... As anyone on mmorpg ever played a source engine game..... if your coming from Nexon at least.
To help the confusion, I know where its from, who it was made by, and how it works done to the bones. but I want to know how much NExon kiddies know about it, as Iv seen lots of them, thinking it was made BY nexon.
As for another question; Does anyone know if re-skins will be allowed, or does that count as "modding" in nexons book. Iv always loved retextureing models in games to my own liking, mainly character/weapons. sometimes NPCs

They did, Im seeing how many people here know that, its sad to see all these NExon kiddies think how epic NExon is for making this game, when all they did was Scripts, Models, and Textures.
Why Nexon thought to use the source engine, Im not sure, as it was DESIGNED for FPS games. Its gonna make me cry to see all these kids think someone like NEXON made the source engine ='( |

Valve did develop the source engine, I have no idea what this guy is talking about. Nexon had nothing to do with it. |

Does nobody understand what im gettign at here? I KNOW Valve made it, Iv been playing source engine games for 10 years... again I will say, Im seeing what the nexon kiddies know of it, the poll related answer "a amazing thing nexon made" is to see if people know who made it or not. |

If you really want me to go in every bit of detail, I will sir. Iv been up all night working on my mod, with just pretty much is, Scripts/models/textures. I know that Nexon had lots of coding them selfs to do. But what im really trying to say is, theres kids thinking Nexon made everything here, and it bugs me, Source's creator should be known correctly, as its one the best out there, along with Unreall and Cry engines. |

Yes, the engine is good. Yes, the game is awesome. What are you trying to say here? There are 209054 upcoming MMOs that use the unreal engine 3 if that means the game will be great then why not use it? Also, what is so bad about people liking this MMO? People hate bad games. People hate good games. WTF |

Exact same engine used for VtM:Bloodlines, only updated since then. So yes, it should work fine, as it did for all the other online games that use it as well. (I realise that's not even the question here) Writer / Musician / Game Designer Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 |

I know about the engine, I know valve made it. But I'm a 33 years old gamer. Probably a lot of kiddies dont know that. It wasnt dificult to understand what the op was talking about. -=AlaKraM=- |

Wow...just...wow. Reading the first page of responses reminded me why my faith in humanity is so low. At least some of the posters actually Read what the OP was writing. More people should learn to read before hitting the reply button. Nothing wrong with wanting to make sure credit is given where credit is due. Although, I do not quite agree with the method used, the language, or the majority of his replies. It should be noted, though, that Nexon is openly advertising that they use Valve's Source Engine. It's just that (again) people don't bother to read. |

It's amazing how the Source engine has stood the test of time. And who knows maybe it will become more popular than using the Unreal 3 engine that some MMORPGs seem to be utilizing in the near future. As far as what Nexon is doing w/ the game, I'm a bit amazed to see an and action MMORPG look like it's trying to do God of War in an mmo setting. Hope it works out for them as it seem rather ambitious. Good luck to Nexon! |

A friendly reminder - Nexon doesn't *make* games. They are a publisher, server host and only do the localization (translations). They have a little bit of development credentials, but this is only when it comes to how the CS works in the game, they don't do jack other than that. Look at the info on the game and you'll see DevCat is the developer, Nexon is the publisher. I wish people would get the distinction that a publisher does not =/= a developer. EA doesn't make games either, they just own the livelyhood of tons of development studios and throw them money. So the next time you say "Nexon did a good job", you are bascially transferring the credit to the investors, which is crap.
