I loved the movies and all, but...swap R2-D2 and Hk-47 and we're set. HK-47 was just...too awesome. Combat-wise and comic-wise (especially comic-wise). Me wantz to buy a droid from the HK series as a companion in SWTOR.

I am going to mention lore, yes hang on to your storm trooper helmets. One thing that needs to be considered is does the character come from a race that travels round the galaxy? If not it is going to look rather odd. Funny little teddy bear race take note. :)

Most of the mentioned companions above will be unavailable. Except the ones from KOTOR and a couple others. Awesome choice in Ghent btw.

I'd go with Silri from Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. Get a decient looking goth chick and a Rancor for the price of one.
