there are so many great intro videos, which show exactly what i want.. but when entering the game, you find yourself inside typical candyland..
like archlord video, it looks cool!, but in game u kill sick green jumping cubes. or even worse: pristontale, where u have to fight huge pink cartoon bunnies.. (btw: couldnt they get mor expensive drugs? the cheap ones arent healthy for them i think ;D)
i want it dark, i want raining woods, dirty rocks, cold metal armor, slow heavy moves.. |

There aren't many things in this world that can live up to the hype. Stonehenge is small and you could make it with a backhoe in a single afternoon. The Taj Majal is small and doesn't live up to the hype. Well shave my back and call me an elf! -- Oghren |

DAoC, but it's pretty old. Midgard is as dark as it gets. |

There aren't many games that are dark and spooky throughout. Mostly they have a smattering of areas, with some areas being that way. The Secret World might deliver though. EQ1, EQ2, SWG, GW, CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War, and a slew of free trials and beta tests |

I had actually expected something like that from AoC, but no. DAoC has some pretty dark areas that give you that gritty medieval feel, EQ2 as well, though it is more dirty and grimey feeling than dark and oppressive. WAR has a lot of areas that feel dark and brooding, but I don't feel that art style or gameplay fits the 'medieval warrior' feeling I think you are looking for. |

same thoughts about AoC here too btw: some parts of SUN are nice though. the animation of some of the enemies would perfectly fit into that kind of medieval world |
