Originally posted by Raav Yep there were plenty of players on the Isle of Dawn when I retried the game a while back. I hated it though. I didnt like the oriental theme as it didnt fit at all with anything that I envisioned my dwarf wanting to do. I guess its fine if you decided to play as one of the races that belong on those islands. I guess this is why I dont like games that have loads of races and then just let them all mingle with each other regardless of the games lore. Its too messy for my tastes. Of course I could have just chosen the dwarf starting area but that would have been like playing a single player game as it was dead and empty. Oh and why is reaching level 10 on the trial isle important? You can reach level 10 anywhere cant you? |

You are correct. You can reach level 10 anywhere. But for Free on the Isle of Dawn you can experience 30 levels of fun content. 10 levels of adventuring, 10 levels of diplomacy and 10 levels of crafting. Quite a lot of content for free. By then you'll know if you want to sub or not. |

Originally posted by neonwire It's not. What is important to do in the island is to complete all three main questlines (Adventuring, Diplomacy, Crafting) in order to get the bracelet of charms (it's named a bit different at that point). It's an item you will be wearing even at max level ;) |

Originally posted by Mixcoatl Unfortunately if a player doesnt like the island and wants to start the game in the area that is suitable and designed for their race (even if those areas are now virtually abandoned) then they miss out on this item......not that I care either way of course as I havent looked at the game for ages and never will |
