Originally posted by starfoxx31 Hope you enjoy it. The game is really quite neat, has a lot of good things going for it. Been thinking of popping back in myself actually. And yes, I think you can do it through steam too, although then you have to have steam running in the background, and I'm a fan of having as little running while I play a game as possible. |

Someone said GuildWars was new user friendly... If you plan to play by yourself or with only your guild, then you might like GW. But the social interaction to it has died. I have no played with a group of other players in about 6 months. |

You'll lose nothing by being civil - Wuthering Heights |
So i have been in vanguard for a few minuites now. My first impression was character creation was great, lots of classes, lots of races. I enjoyed the level of altering porportions also. After i walked around for a bit i found some monsters and i hoped the combat would be fun. I rolled an archer and the combat is pretty bad so far = / we want to like the game! Im gonna try and re-roll another class to see if the combat is any better. Suggestions? |

Originally posted by starfoxx31 That's odd, I found the combat in Vanguard to be a step quite above most MMOs. Granted, that's not hard, because they're almost all the same. As you level up you keep getting more and more neat abilities usually, and Vanguard is one of the few games I've found where when you KILL a mob you feel like you've killed it, you last hit knocks it backwards and it ragdolls. |

If it contains the words video and game, it must be a WOW clone. |

Originally posted by starfoxx31 What games have you both liked? At least then there will be some hint at what should be suggested. BY your list I'd say you've basically tried them all (those that are noteworthy anyway). These are what I'd suggest if you've played them already there's not much more to add. In no given order.. EQ EQ2 Uo SWG VG:SOH WOW Anarchy Online Aion AOC DAOC COH/V CO STO DDO LOTRO AC WAR Fallen Earth Darkfall EVE FFXI Allods Perfect World Some are scifi, some are old, some are newer... If you don't like any of them as a duo, there's no point in looking for an MMO to play together sadly. Could wait a couple weeks and get Red Dead Redemption for PS3 or 360 if you both have one of the two.
