I wish to have no connection with any ship that does not sail fast for I intend to go in harm's way. |

I do. And i thought it was an excellent game at what it did. wth was wrong withthe game anyway? It should be considered for a restart. Look at ddo. It needed a new bump in its marketing campaign and also a change in pay method and now its flourishing. I consider TR to have the same potential. Working on it |

Originally posted by gamerstuff Tabula Rasas biggest problem was the game after level 30 was weak. TR should get rereleased, but not until it spends another year in beta getting fixed and built right. It could have been an awesome wargame ona massive scale if done right. It was not. Mayhbe if RG wins his lawsuit and gets the rights to the game he can polish it the way it needs to be. Otherwise it is where it belongs. |

I actually liked Tabula Rasa. They should bring it back. May need some work but very much worth bringing back. |

I thought about this. Tabula Rasa is to return, packaged as Earthrise. Fear not, my people. |

I really enjoyed Tabula Rasa. Despite its flaws, it did do some things right, and to me it was fun to play. It was cancelled too early. The things that players were complaining about could have been fixed. It wasn't like Warhammer Online, where to fix the game its core had to be changed (which is a big no - no, I am looking at you SOE). I am hoping some company picks this up again, like Gods & Heroes has been brought back to life. Sometimes, as with Saga of Ryzom, the new owners/devs can actually improve the game. The problem is that many players will have already written the game off. |

Originally posted by Rokurgepta I feel exactly the same way. PVP MADE NO SENSE IN TR because mankind was fighting for survival. What should have been done was allowing players to PLAY BANE CHARACTERS. Then the PVP would "been on" full throttle. I for one would have loved to play a Linker :) Them damn Linkers used to fry my a@@ good.
Anyway, I do miss TR, even though I fought enough about it. The thing I love about SciFi MMOs is the sheer amount of potential they bring to the table. TR had some brilliant ideas, great NPC and mob AI and some kickass combat and music. Lack of endgame, progression, no need to group, lack of epic gear (I do not like looking the same from lvl one to max lvl), no storyline development, lack of meaningful crafting, no territoral control, no raids....the list goes on, TR was missing too many things that keep gamers interested. Its a shame though, it will always represent for me a missed opportunity. Current Games: TERA, D3 |

Originally posted by Rokurgepta Heya Rokurgepta, Indeed we did share alot of the same opinions about TR and all the arguing and suggestions we made fell on deaf ears. I may also add that TR lacked an official forum site, and I beleive this hurt the game immensely. The only forum that were available was a certain community (Planet TR) that had a bunch of carebears that didnt want the game to evolve. I still partially blame them for TRs demise. Originally posted by Broomy When I think about how they moderated and treated people on that board I have to agree with you they were part of the problem.
Little story to show the way they treated people. They banned a player for continual foul language and bad behaviour. He made a new name and started attacking all my posts with curses and insults, and when the mods realized who it was they reinstated his old account. Planet TR banned me soon after. Not because I broke the rules, but because they said my posts caused others to respond with hate to me. Since the haters were their friends and guildies I got banned instead. Sadly these were the officially unofficial forums for the games. As you know TR devs went and posted there and it was a mess. |

I miss it... and sadly I regret throwing away my collectors edtion in anger.
Oh well I can pick up another for $5 from Amazon if RG does get the rights to it.
Speaking of raids... I always though a cool raid would have been for a large group to hold a fort with a HUGE onslaught of bane, bane Generals, and Bane creatures we hadnt see before.

I liked TR but in the end there wasn't enough content to keep me interested. |

Its a shame they did'nt try something akin to DDOs hybrid f2play/subscription model before junking it . I think it could have been a success like that . I did'nt play it a lot but from what I saw it was quite a bit of fun . |

I miss the Tabula Rasa that was promised, but not the one that was delivered. I miss Asherons Call 2 a lot more, however. |

I miss TR, wonder if there will ever bee a TR emulator. I got this James Cameron's Avatar game at the post-christmas sale for $20 last Dec and it sort of feels like TR so everytime I play it, it keeps reminding me of my commando and sniper. SWTOR: sub ended, no thanks to Georg Zoeller! |

I miss TR a lot. I played through beta and was overall pretty disappointed. I went back months later and had a decent time but it still didn't deliver like I thought it would. It didn't really stick. In the final months of the game I had a great time. The crafting system, though extremely simplistic, was effective and added to the game. They added the mechs and the very first portion of Earth in the final days as well. In a relatively brief period of time, the small development staff was able to accomplish quite a bit. The problem is that NC Soft considered it an "AAA" title and wanted big sub numbers. Anything less than 200k subscribers would have been an utter failure in their eyes and we all know how dismal the actual performance was on the financial front. I always felt that a move like Turbine did with DDO could have helped. Furthermore, the most minimal and well-executed advertisement campaign could have helped the game a lot. Outside of people who are into MMO's, it remained relatively unknown to the average gamer. Myself and a lot of my friends would LOVE to see this game come back. I doubt it ever will but that would give me a chubby pickle. Here are a few shots for you guys that I found in my FRAPS screenshot folder.
