Cisco has created a super router thats able to give you incredible internet speeds. You could download every movie on the internet ever made in 4 minutes, is one of the things stated, if this happens that will be an insane jump compared to current speeds. System: AMD quad-core A6-3400M |

So I guess this means we'll be able to play MMOs in real-time someday. Great. Now if only they'd come out with one worth playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

I don't believe they have anything. It's interesting they announced this after Google did. I think Cisco is just doing a bit of signaling to get investors away from Google. By the way, I don't agree with you that the relevant market here is health care. You're not regulating health care. You're regulating insurance. It's the insurance market that you're addressing and you're saying that some people who are not in it must be in it, and that's -- that's different from regulating in any manner commerce that already exists out there. - Scalia |

More like prepare for insanely high bandwidth bills and a cease and desist order for accidentally DoSing servers you connect to.
Also, reword your post. Cisco has not created a revolutionary router, they're PLANNING to create one. Unique upcoming indie space-based mining and combat game - Miner Wars. |

People spinning this and literally cumming in their pants over this new "release statement" will need to chill out. This tech won't be for us commoners for many years after it's release. Furthermore the net is fast enough as is. Any faster and stupidity will simply be more real time, instead of 35 seconds later.
Seriously. |

What we really could use is a (real) national broadband development program here in the U.S. I'm on a pitifully slow DSL connection because it's the best I can get. And I'm tired of getting my doors blown off on bittorent by goat herders from Turkey, etc.. |

I will say Hoora when i see this in the UK till then Meh!!!!! Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981 |

Google will make it happen. Cisco will continue to try and figure out how...... Besides. Something like what they are proposing would never go mainstream. Google at least is trying to take the ISP route. I signed my community up to be in the first test run. I doubt we'll get it though. =( "Consolidate your own news on your site rather than spreading it around on 3 different sites.
