Issues I have with this game…

1. Races/Factions are unbalanced
2. Role playing is too restrictive
3. Overly focused on loot
4. Death penalty is too harsh

1. Races, factions, classes are unbalanced in many areas.

For those that have not played, you roll a race on creating your character and it is nearly impossible to change later. Confusingly, they are called races, factions, or classes, depending on your server - European, African etc on some servers, blue collar, white collar, and lower, middle and upper class, etc.

But in all cases, there is a serious lack of balance within and between factions.

Some receive very helpful tutorial information from public ‘schools’ that are air conditioned and healthy environments. Others, for example, the D.C. zone, have unbearable conditions in the summer, no libraries, few art programs. Still others, for example on the sub-Saharan African shard, don’t have rural school systems at all.

The player amenities in the newbie islands vary greatly. Just look at the different types of player housing in for example, Manhattan and Oliver Springs, TN.

2. Relatedly, role playing is too strictly enforced.

People that want to play different roles are not given the same skill-ups or PvP advantages. For example, if you want to ‘group’ with someone of the same sex and share player housing, get pets, or offspring, it is much more difficult in most zones.

3. Overly focused on loot.

Skill is not rewarded. Players with huge amounts of loot can get ridiculously powerful even as total unskilled n00bs. For example, George W. Bush.

4. Death penalty is too harsh.

Perma death? wth
