So long as it's on PC and they don't try to put the two games together online, I'm fine with it. |

Be interesting to see how a console MMO would work. Seeing as a console has very limited controls unless they make it require a keyboard and mouse. But since consoles are slowly ruining most PC games I hope to god they keep MMOs PC exclusives. |

Considering there's not even a release date for the PC yet why on earth would you believe a console release date on some random site? There is nothing to discuss, unless you plan on discussing someones guess. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

I wish that was the release date but until EA/Bioware/Lucas Arts announce it then its speculation. I'm all for it being on the console because the future of mmos will be on the console. |

I didn't say specifically that I believe it, I just found this link to be of interest, and I posted it. A retailers "guess" on a retail date for a platform that hasn't been confirmed the game will release on is kind of interesting. There must be some reason they posted it, whether it is misinformation, or something else entirely.
The release date is obviously off anyways... still interesting. |

Pffft its not the first mmo to be rumoured to go to console (AOC, CO) its just another little piece of the hype machine that will more and likely NEVER HAPPEN just like those other OMG GOING 2 CONSOLE mmo's.... Don't know if you can run it? |

It's interesting to know that there have already been MMOs on consoles. One in particular is Final Fantasy XI, one of the most successful MMOs - and it runs on PS2, Xbox 360, and PC(though they recently announced they are closing support for the PS2 version). As for console controllers. Console controllers really aren't that limiting - the PS3 controller has about 14 buttons(not counting pause/select) - for a lot of people it's a lot more comfortable than pounding a keyboard(which I find extremely awkward for gaming). FFXI(and the upcoming FFXIV) also support mouse & keyboard on the PS3. |

Question is, how much fate do you have in a website that shows a 24 oktober 2010 release date for a game that will be released in spring 2011... Currently i am a super hero in DCUO. |

No faith in the release date at all. I have no faith that it will launch on consoles either. I didn't even know it was being developed for consoles. The real question would be, why it was posted in the first place. Did they inform retailers of a possible release? Did this company just make it up?
Its kind of like reading an interview where they say they will not, or have not, decided if a vehicle will be in the game yet, and then you see on another site a picture of the vehicle graphically rendered... I'm not saying it will release on consoles or anything, I just found the link to be worth mentioning. I don't know how many other sites have this game listed for the 360. This is most possibly a fluke.... but a strange one. |

The release date is obviously off anyways... still interesting. Most MMO's have varying dates by different retailers at some point or another before the developers/publisher go public with them, it's just the norm really. They are most often than not just educated guesses that turn out to be completely wrong and is done simply so that the retailers can secure more pre-orders via having the game up for purchase as soon as possible, the longer it is there the more people will pre-order. This works especially well for games whose release is a long way off as even those that have changed their minds when the time comes have often forgotten the pre-order is there and purchase without realising.
It's simply marketing and meaningless. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

How can it not be on consoles when it's a console game at heart? I will pass this one up, I want a real MMORPG.

Nah man, sites like this have put up release dates from last year, it's purely speculation. If we went by them, the game would be released already. |

IF Bioware was smart they would release this thing on Consoles. |

I hope you PC hard-ons recognize that Stars Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was originally on the Xbox before the PC release. It would be like them not releasing a Mass Effect on the Xbox even though it was first released on it. Their audience of gamers for this title is the xbox. It just would not make any sense to create another Star Wars Old Republic game for just the PC and not their already loyal fanbase on the console. Nowadays the money will be on the console.... |
