Great review, he is 100% dead on www.youtube.com/watch

I actually agree with him. Being an A block player myself, everything he said is 100% true. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. |

I have been in since block A also, and I agree with him as well. The game does not have any content and no direction, it is still buggy and laggy after 8 months of closed and open beta and nothing has changed. Server still crashes over database errors and any content in the game other than the geography is broken and buggy.

Dude sounds just like my friend Adam, and he has a Nightwish poster... +2! Oh yeah, and good review, spot-on, etc., etc., blah blah blah.

The reviewer does a good job of emphasizing how crap this game is. Been in since Block C, and it's still complete trash. I agree with the review. But like the reviewer said, try it for yourself, just don't spend any money on it. |

Might not be exactly what you wanted from this thread, but my opinion, if not on MO, was related to the review. Anyway, screw it. Im sorry about the whole thing.

Does it highlight the first person survival horror that is the teleporting livestock that will randomly eat your face? |

Looking forward to the updated review. Guess we'll have to wait until the content patch includes content. |

The reviewers score of 3 pretty much mirrors the average from the poll here.

As much as I like a honest review. Did he just called me a troll too? Ouch, I better stop using forums regardless of my opinion. |

100% accurate? Not really ... Since block B this have been added ... 1. Being able to build player houses, bridges, keeps, palisades. 2. Thieving added. 3. Magic added and in the last patch 3 more spells was added. 4. More mobs have been added like Satyrs, Razorback, Minotaurs, Rat humanoids, Orcs, ... even thou only 1/3 of the mobs are in. Now they can add more because the new AI is in. In other MMO's the AI just do the following when a player come close ... Ignore him or attack. In MO ... the mob can also flee ... 5. Better melee ... weapon now stop when hit something instead of that the swing continue throu the body like hit thin air, as the case is in all other MMO's. You can not just cut off heads but also arms. 6. Better GUI. 7. The advance crafting have been done. 8. Skill book system have been added. 9. 40% more of the continent have been opened up with several caves. You have to use torches to enter them. 10. Many more weapons to craft have been added. 11. Mounted combat and mounted archery have been added. 12. More NPC have been added. 13. Day/Night system have been added in the last patch and soon we get a weather system and heat system. 14. The performance and stability of the client/server has improved lots. 15. And much more ... So, ... what he is saying ... isn't really the whole truth. ;) What is going to be added in the coming patches is more mobs ... now that will go faster due to the AI is in place. Of course there are bugs in the game, but bugs will be fixed and things balanced. |

That is the problem. The bugs over shadow everything the devs have added because they are not being addressed quickly. I guarantee that if the devs only added 1 or 2 of the items you listed, but fixed the intial mess they had everyone would be praising the game with " It runs great, but needs more content! " MO would be doing just fine if they had fixed the combat, added crafting/gathering, and perfected the AI, but instead they threw everything into the pot and just started stirring. |

More or less agrees. If they actually fixed all the bugs, at least they will only be dealing with lack of content. However, buggy + lack of content is probably too much in any players eyes to actually pay a monthly sub. Truthfully any developer should always deal with bugs first and in a speedy manner. Since no matter how much contents you have, it won't matter if players can't play it, but contents can always be added later on. |

only thing i got from his review was "there is nothing to do and no direction". ive been in since beta block D and yea the content is sparse at the moment but like the poster above me stated, they have added a ton of things into the game since then. as far as the "direction" of the game, i am glad they give us no direction. most people have been too pampered with wow type games having them led by the hand being told where to go, when to go there, what to do while in said place, and when to leave said place. MO reminds me of when i first played ultima online. i logged on for the first time and spent the first few days just trying to figure out wtf to do and how to progress in the game. then after the first few days of plinking around i started to figure things out and because of this became emersed in the game. i made the game what i wanted of it. i could be a trade smith, dragon tamer, bard, etc, etc, etc. The lack of direction drove the community into making player run events, player run towns, wars between different clans over certain areas, etc, etc. there were also live gm events (this will probably never happen in an MMO again but it was pretty freaking awesome to have GM run events with special items, some being completely unique with only one existing on ANY of the servers. they were mostly fashion items but still, pretty sweet). with no direction of where to go and what to do the community in game decides what the game turns into be it a cut throat FFA, or a close knit community where the players hold events and build cities, some people being bandits and thieves, others being adventurers. |
