no need for name calling, anyways I have played RoM and I have never used the cash shop, I have actually never used it in any MMO I have ever played that has had one. I was speaking from experience. As I said in PVP they are sometimes needed but I personally do not PVP...

Honestly, I don't see any cash shop game running longer than 2-3 years. Maybe DDO, but they did it right. You'd think dev's would understand by now that while it's okay to give people time savers and cool stuff, it is not okay to change the playing field, and the majority of players don't like buying stuff that only lasts a few hours. Heaven and Hell is debatable - Karma is not. |

gPotato finally made a reply. http://novogradtimes.com/2010/02/19/gpotato-responds-to-allods-online-cash-shop-pricing/
I really hope they'll be fixed! but people are already bragging in game how they already paid for the bags, etc. |

I played Allods and thought that it was a decent game(not great) but those prices are ridiculous. The Allods team need to take some lessons from Turbine's D&D Online. They have very reasonable prices. Allods is getting uninstalled from my computer. I do not think too many people will stand for this greed. |

Stop hating the F2P model so much for the mistake of a single company. Yes the price are incredibly high, yes Gpotato are "looking into it". Doesn't mean that because 1 company puts high prices for "necessary" items that ALL F2P games do that. There are several F2P MMOs on the market where the prices are right, the items are optional and does not imbalance the game in any shape or form. ------ |

man for a f2p game Allods sure does make it look like we are stealing from pay to play games. I mean 15 dollars a month for top end guilds to raid 40 hours a week in WoW. If you wanted to raid for 40 hours a week in Allods it would be over 200 dollars a month. Let alone for every hour your spend pvping (just imagine if all those arena teams spent a dollar for every hour they were in the arena then that 35$ tournament that WoW holds looks like an absolute steal of a deal.) Hmm... Want to just look at Warhammer then. Nearly the entire game is based off pvp. When my buddy played it he spent around 30 hours a week pvping. I know he quit because he thought the 15 dollars for those 120 hours of play time wasn't worth it. Just imagine his surprise when I tell him it would have cost him 120 dollars a month to play Warhammer. I bet he'd look at it in a different light. Thank god I have never heard of this game, but I just had to comment when I saw these pricings as it sure did make me feel good about playing pay to play games after this. |

here how i see it! if you do play the game instead of not playing it! and dont buy at the cs :heres what will happen they will see they got a great product ,wich as we all know and agree here is true(lets forget the cs issue) so after a while gpotato board will meet(about every 3 month or so)when that happen and the see they re revenue isnt there the boss will ask this!is the game empty ?nope boss that the thing its full then what the issue? we dont know we are popular but they dont buy!trust me you will see the all kind of sheet of question to fill how you feel about this and that, etc thats the good way to go at it if you dont play they ll say ok we got another lemon on our hands but if that was to happen it would be a shame because player so far seem to love it i say just all ignore cs ,and eventually it will come down if it doesnt then at least it will be because of gpotatoes fault not because player didnt give the game it self a fair chance i saw countless game adjust price if they see their game is very popular .espacially in the f2p market they evolve crazy fast when they see they game popularity isnt the issue but their overpricing policy is! |

From the 4-5 hours spent in beta I had some fun in a polished cartoon gameworld. I plan on resuming play when the game goes live; Allods will be my "Plan B" mmog. I am currently playing LotRO and move around between several p2p games one at a time. I can''t justify the expense of running 2 sub's concurrently. Allods is FREE TO PLAY. Over the past five years I have spent over a thousand dollars on subs. Will I visit the item shop? No. Will Allods be my life? No. Will I have a FREE TO PLAY polished mmog on my desktop when my main game's server is down, or I want a little break? Absolutely. We are getting a great looking and fun FREE TO PLAY mmog soon. It's a great day for the genre and the community. They can charge whatever in the item shop. If I'm that hungry for great pvp i'll boot up Warhammer for a month, or try Darkfall. Allods is a casual game for the after school crowd, nothing more. Did I mention it's FREE TO PLAY? :)

They won't make it P2P because they think they can make more money by having it F2P. |

its odd how they charge so much in a game thats nothing more than a pure rip off of the world of warcraft core engine even some of the mobs are the exact same i dont know how the price system works if its gpotato and the game makers or just gpotato as there just a host. in any case the game is not p2p quality its not worth your hard earned cash not at that list prce, the other gpotato games seem to have a fine cash shop and i play rappelz not a bad shop there maybe it is a mistake...
if its not well like many mmorpg games here today gone the next. whats new
ps. aika was a nice game good cbt lets hope when it goes live they dont make the same mistake.. i would hate to see it shot down too |

Maybe they should have just saved time and money by using their ru coding skills to hack a bank. It would have been faster... Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom. Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR. |

This is why it's in beta. To test to see if the community rages when they do something like this. |

lol, I like how you pay for "raid time" I can already picture the classic moment when the group engages the boss mob and the main tank disappears right after the pull because he ran out of "raid time"

Players who don't think that perfume is needed haven't played the game at 40. Not only is PvP forced on you with war banners, but you also require the perfume for PvE too, at the very least if you are a tank. The HP buff is necessary to raid, kill Allods bosses, and heroic dungeon bosses can one shot you without it. Good luck accomplishing anything in the game without the perfume. You can receive the perfume via a long quest chain (that was also broken on Empire side when I did it) that grants you one perfume a day. The quest chain takes over 30 minutes to accomplish and grants little EXP, so it's next to pointless bothering with the quest. But, what people fail to realize also is there are more than just perfumes causing imbalances in the game right now. Having 6 level 10 runes (which will cost you over $45,000 to make) will give you an increase of about 90% max HP and 30% more total damage. You can also obtain additional talent points (5 total) via pages off chests that come from the cash shop. The company is also discriminating against US and Euro players since they decided that 600-2000% (yes, some items such as the aforementioned bag have a 2000% markup, no item I believe has lower than a 600% markup) than the Russian version. |

Well it isnt that bad, most of you saw RoM item Shop, prices and items there are well....outrages. Allods is F2P and Cash Shop items are moslty for fun, dont give much advantage in game i think. |
