AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME! THe winter effects are great, and it FEELS like a winter festival. No other game before (including DDO) had the feel. Hope they do it next Christmas. STormreach feels awesome! Day and Night are AWESOME! House D is AWESOME! I am blown away. THe Art Department wins for Update 3 and deserves a bonus!
Good job, guys! Yes, I am a gamer girl. |

Those first couple of relatively smooth updates were clearly due to the near year they had to shine them, this time when on a tighter time budget Turbine fumbles again. But kudos to the in game art work, looks great from what I saw before work. |

I'm positive about what I play. If it ends & I get negative, I move on. This is how we not troll. |

I think you forgot that could be intended. There shouldn't snow in Stomreach at all, because that's volcanic continent near equator. You can see much bigger palm trees in Harbor now, to show it better. Background about this is that it snows, and snows only in Harbor, because some Ice-Wizard came to the city for upcoming festivities and had this idea. That's only the first part. There will be more events in this "event" that we see now.

Except in your rush to defend Turbine(your usual stance) you seem to have forgotten the ice skating and the other WINTER EVENTS. SO the snow will not stick but an ice rink will not melt in your theory? |

Lol. Its a game. Its not a wether simulation. In short they have with very simple effects made the harbor area, which will exept this short period have a summer'ish area, feel rather winter like. TBH I havent seen any other game do it better. The harbor area has not been changed to winter forever, this is an even. Do tune your expectations in accordance. When you see gradual snow in another MMO, come back and give me a poke.... |

I could care less about other MMOs. Thank you.
So your theory is since it is an event the snow will not stick? So in your world when it snows it does not stick? Or are we making excuses? All I said was I was disappointed in the snow effect. Too bad if you dont like my opinion. |

Thats not an excuse, thats called beeing realistic. The alternative is that they dont do stuff like that at all, and that would be kinda sad, be course there will never be economic sense in using the resources you suggest they should have used on some small event. So my oppinions is that they have done wonders with small clever effects, and I admire that. You don't. And there we are. |

I have to agree, with the bloom effect settings on it was just too bright.. for snow all they did was take the effect from the starter area, and the "ice"(if you can call it that) for the rink doesn't look very good either, especially when compared to the quality of the water near by. The slide motion&animation is pretty lame too.. All n' all I was only disapointed, and that's without even taking the ammount of major bugs they created into consideration. |

Yes ignoring bugs they were told about from day 1 on the preview server is the part that annoys me most. But the artistic changes to the house areas and all look to be an improvement and the quest Delirium is hilarious and well done. |

Missing in game events has been an issue for many since the game went live, there have been so few. The funny part being they hired a player(Tolero) who was known for running in game events and said they hired her to run official ones and then made her a forum mod more or less. I know a lot of people who thought her hiring was a sign of great in game events to come, but it never happened. |

It does not snow for days on end and not accumulate. You may want to go outside a little more often. |

Has Turbine said a Wizard made it snow? Or are the defenders of Turbine looking for an excuse for this? It is a small little detail that I would have liked to see. It is not important overall, but it does speak to the multitude of little things Turbine misses or ignores all the time. THis is why huge bugs get into their game in nearly every patch. This is why quests get closed all the time and stuff like True Reincarnation is shut down for now. Anyh one of these in an of itself are kind of trivial, added together they show a glaring lack of QA. Defend it all you want, if I did this kind of work in my career people would die from the lack of QA.
Using your excuse everytime Turbine makes a mistake we can all just pretend a Wizard did it. For months when Shroud part 4 was bugged I bet a Wizard made him stare off into space and get his ass kicked. Thanks for that great excuse, I will use it more for them now. |

You'd have to add even more code to make the snow stop piling after time and then people would bitch more? Yes? Really snow not piling up on the ground?! Come on its a game not reality. |

The snow does not have to pile up on the walkways, but green grass after all this snow is kind of silly. I am not asking for a Buffalo winter. Snow covering the grass would be enough. |
