Guys, guys, OP is correct. The Fear of Death stat loss penalty is around 50 minutes at level 40. That also stacks and costs 3.5 gold to remove at that level as well. The penalty starts at level 16, but by the time you get to level 40 the FoD lasts for around 50 minutes and costs that much. Check out the Allods forums for the info. The patch notes don't tell you everything.

You guys are amazing... THE DEATH PEN SCALES WITH LVL. Hopefully you can read that now. It does remove 25% of your stats and can stack four times, and I just checked my lvl 40 guy it lasts for exactly for 51 minutes on the first death! The perfume quest is a ONE TIME quest at lvl 15 to give you 20 otherwise one quest at lvl 40 to give you one and the quest takes 30 min to do. With the perfumes lasting 30 min you tell me how much pvp you will do at max lvl (40). For another further arguements why don't you guys just check out the actual forums for the game? |

Anyways the point of this was to make it an issue and stand out. |

Well your OP never stated 45min was at level 40 you said it after people pointed it out. But yeah hope they do something about it plus a death penalty working also in pvp is a bit lame imo and I'm one that hates to pvp. |

I want to say I'm amazed but I'm not. There seems to either be a lot of people that just either stoped posting or were banned. That is what happens when you have very young (I think some mods are 18-20) fanboys of a game as mods. If it was the one gm (more or less PR not a dev) who visits those boards that banned you that would be even worse. The truth is, they don't want people to know how long the death xp is at 40 or the fact that it can't be removed in dungeons w/o perfumes or leaving the dungeon and making it back in time for repops due to the death penalty. It is also 100% necessary for doing heroics because (word of mouth on this one) you can only be teleported to the dungeon once a day and there is no Servant of Light there :). It's also the reason the FoD doesn't start untill lvl 15. They want people to become ATTACHED to their toons so they are more likely to continue to play. I would voluntarily pay for certain items like bags and such but when a game FORCES me to use the CS to be viable for certain things, when they stated they won't, I jump ship and they lose any money they would have gained from me and many others who feel the same. |

Well people must see how much this pisses me off by the fact I have had an account on this site since 03 and have about 8 posts and 3 of them are in this thread. lol Either post here why you were banned or send me a PM I am very interested. I believe it will be because of "advertising" your blog or some such crap. |

In fact even one of the dudes who uses the allods twitter told me I made a good blog post one time lol... 3) Even if I were to say advertise my blog and that was the reason the forum rules state that be a warning, a locked thread and then a suspend. Not a Perm instant ban. 4) I have been very vocal about the whole the devs said they would not cause gameplay issues with the item mall and the fear of death...
Hour later I was Perm banned.
I should not even have to explain my self you saw how this thread started with ohh the OP is a liar and you backed me up. I also been a member here since 2003. I have no need or want to lie. I want this game to work well and that is why I make a big deal out of Fear of Death since if it does not get nerfed or removed this game will not do well and may end up dying. |

Easy bud I am on your side lol. I don't want you to prove anything to me I want to know their excuse for banning you, I already believe you. With using the quotations on "advertising" I was saying they might try to use it as some lame excuse as to the ban. I was saying this FoD is pissing me off so much that I actually bothered to post when I rarely do. Just re-read my post, breathe, and I think you will see what I meant. |

Well none the GM's know why I was banned. I sent a email they gave me but from the looks of their support I doubt I will ever get a email back. |

I don't get only one thing..... why people complain about f2p mmorpgs??? I have tried all of them including allods and all of them suck bad with or without cash shop. P2p are better in general and have support, and that summs it no need for further arguments. STOP feeding weak fee2play(cash shop) games is like buying cds or dvds from the street with crappy quality. |

That's your opinion and that's fine but I enjoy f2p games because I don't feel the necessity to log in as much if I'm not paying the monthly service fee for a p2p. I also believe there are many quality games that are f2p just none that catch my interest atm and possibly not yours but not all of these games have low budgets and I can tell you allods is a lot more polished and such than many p2p games I have tried. |

It has happen and ruined my games in the past and is so unfair... F2P is the future and so why should we not complain about it. I mean it's our right and what right is it for you to tell us not to exercise our right to freedom of speech? I want this game to win win win! But there going about it all the wrong way. I have run private servers in the past and I know some really good magic to make such a thing work well.
I mean Mortal Online and Darkfall would have less money the Allods so yeah go yell at them ;) |

I'm pretty sure the OP isn't lying. The debuff time appears to increase as you level. At level 40 it appears to be about 40 minutes. Are you guys getting the debuff with a level 40 character? The gold cost to remove the debuff also increases with level. Since you receive the penalty in PvP (which should not be the case in a game like this) you are almost going to be forced to use the cash shop if you actually want to have any amount of gold on your character. We were planning on possibly joining Allods online with a big guild (possibly 30+ players moving over). All of us were paying customers (our other possibilities are all P2P). If the patch sticks there is no way we are even going to consider Allods. You can call us whiners or whatever, but that's 30+ potiental paying customers Gpotato (and Nival) are going to lose. There are plenty of other large groups that don't plan on playing if this remains in either. It's a BIG deal and probably is going to effect whether this game is one of the more successful F2P or not. |

QFT a shit ton of people are already changing gears and looking to other games instead of planning on playing Allods. Entire guilds are moving their players away. It was also a really bad move to not have PR people either prepare the fans or have someone available to answer questions since the patch. With Open Beta supposedly starting in 2 days they had better move fast on a statement or it will be too late.

Originally posted by Preston It really does suck I mean they did some good ideas with the staff structure. For example most the GM's/mods are helpers only. Not only that there none bias helpers. Meaning AKA speak your own mind they don't flip out or ban you. Now I talked to the MOD's so I know it was not them and there trying to help me solve it. Really good people.
My point is the people who don't make a cent are better with the community and really nice yet people who get paid to communicate to us Do shit all. It makes no sense to me I mean communication is the key. I'm still hoping for the best who knows why anymore but I just hope for it anyways. |

Is 3.5 gold at level 40 that much money? I've only played up to 15 on my chars, but based on the amount of money I make on those, it doesn't sound that excessive for PvE deaths. I do feel that FoD should not apply to PvP and instead another penalty for PvP deaths should be in place if one is even needed at all. |
