Well, if you are going the space route, keep Anarchy Online in mind. A bit old but still a pretty decent game I hear.

I have thought of Anarchy Online several times but the whole game is not free... Only the first part of the game but none of the expansions if I remember correctly. Which I could see me getting to the point where I need to upgrade to a part of the game and need money to do so and well the wife say no, we need diapers etc etc etc..
Thanks for the suggestions, Dustin

Well honestly it sounds like you are a little too picky for the F2P games on the market at this time. I know we all lament the poor quality of current MMOs, but that is the way it is right now. You will either have to shell out some cash each month for a sub, settle on an imperfect F2P, or just stick to single player games or a different hobbie for now. I really wish you could get Spellborn working on your PC, its a perfectly good game IMO too. You might give it another troubleshooting crack if your that hard up. |

EVE Online. You don't need money to play it... I mean real money. And it's sandbox. But not fantasy though... |

Maybe if I'm going to have my Xfire profile up, I should start using Xfire... |

You could play Ryzom, and use the 21-day free trial period to find a nearby bank with poor security. |

lets face it ... wether f2p or p2p ...2009 was a horrible MMo year , and early 2010 releases arent very promising. so i went single player again and started Divinity 2 today , although it had crapy reviews its great and owns DA:O big time and is quite simular to the Ultima 9 gameplay |

WoW clone? Damn fool. WoW is the most general MMO and every game has SOME aspects of it. |

Hello, Me again, perhaps I am too picky. Spellborn is a great game I really wish it would work but I can't stand playing it at all with such a low FPS, no matter the settings. It is very frustrating for me because as of right now in my eyes it is one of the few MMOs that seems worth playing. As for sticking to single player games, once again they take money. I know F2P games aren't perfect but their usually isn't that big of a difference between them and the pay to play. I suppose I expect too much out of the MMO genre all together. My wife and I are going to try to change our internet once our car gets paid for, when that happens I may try Spellborn once again just to make sure it isn't by some weird fluke is my internet. Guys who play spellborn what server do you guys play on the PVE, or PVP. My two characters are on the PVE server. If you want to private message me your character names etc, I may try to hook up with you guys im in Aldervault last time I played. The only thing that I really don't like about Spellborn besides it not liking my computer is that when I was really trying to get it to work and still put up with the poor FPS and played every day everytime I joined a guild the guild would only last af few weeks and then disband. Very much a fly by night community almost.
Anyways, I suppose I am too picky but I Just get tired of the same old thing over and over. Or perhaps I am jaded by the wonderfulness that was Ultima Online when it first came out. Well I appreciate the suggestions. Maybe I will find something eventually; or get Spellborn to work.
