Paying monthly for a game thats pretty much Team Fortress 2 but with global stats is a bad deal IMO.  Many of my friends are playing it but I doubt I will buy it as I don't even consider it an MMO, and asking for money for a non-MMO  is going too far (if you dont sub, you lose out on many features)

I thought you could play with all 10 guys from your alliance?

Need someone else to confirm that this is the case and not a screw up on that guys part?  That doesnt make sense why they would build it that way.  If you had an alliance of 30 you would want to go in to take 3 differnt hexes?

They have confirmed they are making a system for full 10 man teams in pvp, as it is right now yes, you can only bring 4 from your agency... or friends.  I do agree it is lame to get grouped with pubs who don't use mics or have any sense of teamwork, however I've found a good team of 4 can easily win a match if said 4 people work well together.

That doesn't make any sense.

How can a good team of 4 win the match ??

There are three control points, do not try and tell me that you can hold one alone that is pure BS.

Our guild members, as a team of 4, can hold ANY individual control point but it is not possible to spread out 4 players and capture two control points for a win unless you are playing against absolute retards.

The only way you 4 win is if the other 6 players do what they are supposed to do otherwise it is lose, lose, lose no matter how good you think you are.

You'd have to be playing against idiots with broken hands to say that 4 of you are winning the match by yourselves.

.

As a group of 4 you can simply go from point to point raping anyone in your way, unless you run into another group that is well thought out you'll steam roll pubs.  We do it just fine in Control Points, we don't just camp one point, we go around the map where ever we are needed.

Lot of misinformation here.

1.  No content will be added, except for AvA upon release.  "Uh, you are acting like the beta has every single thing that the main game has. That is almost never true."  That is actually almost always true.  Asheron's Call, Warhammer Online, Anarchy Online,  Asheron's Call 2, Age of Conan, etc.  All with full content in beta.  Besides for A v A, this is it.  This has also been confirmed.

2.  You CAN cancel your preorder with Steam if you want.

3.  It is not an impatient and loud minority.  On the beta forums there was a 12 page thread that was filled up in 2 days of creating a sticky for complaints.  It was locked and now there is a new suggestions thread replacement which is already 7 pages long.  Then they finally made a thread about how some of these complaints will be fixed immediately.

4.  The real loud minority are the super fans that would attack anyone who posted a criticism.  To combat this, HIrez has had to create stickied threads with threats of deletion of posts made as a "defense" of the suggestions by the super fans.

5.  The 60v 60 is not exactly true.  In A v A there will be 60 v 60 SPLIT UP into teams of 10v 10.

6.  The game is not 50 megs.  Try 6 gigs.

7.  The "it's beta!" excuse has been used in EVERY beta and is ALWAYS wrong.  What you see 2 weeks before release is what you got(exception of  a v a).  PERIOD.  There will be no major overhauls or content added.  A minor change here and there?  Sure.  If you have any presence on the forums, you would know this.

8.  "this game has the best pvp balance ive ever seen, hell even better than tf2. they worked really hard at it."  Bull.  20 pages of complaints on balance in 2 days says otherwise.  Additionally, they only have 4 cookie cutter classes here compared to 9 in TF2.  Stop the BS.

Not to mention, if the enemy team is focused on your team of 4, the rest of your team would have to be monumentally stupid to not be able to cap the remaining points (which would now be vacant). So either your capping points quickly, or acting as a giant decoy for the enemy team, it's a win-win either way.

More towards the OT, when I originally bought this game, I admit I was a bit dissapointed. It felt like a subscription based tribes. However, the more I play the game, the more fun I'm having, so in my book that's money well spent. Try not too think too much about the payment method. If you are having fun, and you can afford it, it's worthwhile entertainment. You can always unsub for months you don't feel like partaking in the subscription-based content. AFAIK, 90%+ of the things you obtain in this game do not go away with time. Enhancements have durability, but that's about it.

I had high hopes for GA, but now I understand why Hi-Rez tried so bad to hide how the game really is. I have been trying the beta for the past days, and it’s basically the same thing over and over again. 5 maps for pvp, 5 maps for PVE; the first 2 PVE maps are dramatically easy and fast. If you expected the game to be big and interesting like me, you would be disappointed. There is one room (dome) where you take missions look for agencies and upgrade your skills and armors (you only change the looks of your armors no stat change or anything..) Same thing with weapons and such, you get higher ones just by leveling up. Even CrimeCraft seems bigger than GA, at least in CC its not ridiculously easy to get weapons etc . PVP is GA is kindoff fun, but it gets repetitive after some time, especially when u play the same maps over and over again. Call it an MMOFPS if you want, but imo it’s an fps where you level
.

Below lvl 10 you play a cycle of maps.  Each play mode has many maps that you will get to test as you access the modes.  AVA is the mmo aspect and it will be tested in the coming weeks.  The pve is harder the higher you go  in security though not my cup of tea.  I love the pvp and I'd say stay at it til you get lvl 20 and check out how the game expands.  It may or may not be your cup of tea but with a clan its alot of fun imo.  The fact that the cap is 30 makes it easy to lvl a few classes as well if you haven't found your play style the game can be less engaging.

Edit the implants can enhance your stats the armor like you said is for looks only which I kinda like.

This is false.  There are 4 maps per play mode, period.  This has been confirmed.

Additionally, they are all generic and repetitive.  Same color palette.  Same setting.

As it is now, you often play against level 25+s while at level 5 yourself.  If you are playing against a premade team of 4 level 30s while at level 5-15, you will get crushed.

Additionally, teams have been queuing up simultaneously to try to get 8 into a match together.

This is really the biggest problem w/ the game atm, but I'm not sure if they have the population yet to balance such things out w/ out ruining the queue rate. However this seems to really only be a big problem during down hours, when there aren't as many people playing. During prime-time the games seem pretty even for the most part. However, as always, playing with your clan (agency / alliance) will generally yield better results.

You mean playing with 3 members of your clan...

And maybe, if you bid high enough, you'll be able to play 10 v 10 for an hour a day at the rate of $12.99 per month.

Global Agenda is a lie.

I was quite excited by this game but Global Agenda is nothing but shiny hype.

It is a combination of UT and TF2 hyped as being a HUGE game with 60 vs. 60 competition...

Bullshit.

PvP and PvE missions are limited to FOUR PERSON TEAMS !!!!!

Read that again: max is 4 people in your team.

So, you have 10 player "missions" and out of your 50 man guild you can only get 4 players in at a time...

Oh boy, what fun, we get to divide up our guild into little 4 person teams that can't win in the PvP missions because the other 6 people are randoms that have no clue how to hold the control point. (shades of UT2K4 onslaught pub games)

The PvE and PvP "missions" consist of just a few maps that repeat over and over and over and over, I'm already bored playing them.

Then we have the much hyped up "AvA"... It's crap.

Guilds have to bid on the ability to attack opposing teams and then the best you can do is make a 10 man team and hope that a bunch of random retards in your alliance don't click the join attack button and take your mission.

People are expected to pay a monthly fee for the chance to play some 10 v 10 maps maybe a couple hours a day ???

No thanks, if I pay a monthly fee I expect to play the game to it's fullest everyday I choose to play.

Recons are way over powered, assault is far too weak (unless they have two medics on them), Robotics gets ridiculously overpowered when they get the rocket turrets.

Did I mention that Recons are over powered ? LOL, the game is a melee fest where Assault class gets beat to death in 2 seconds by any recon... It's really a bizarro sword simulator most of the time.

All the in game items are money sinks: the implants are asinine and wear out after a few missions, the armor is only cosmetic (seriously the 100K armor gives no more protection than the 4K) the crafting is incredibly stupid requiring one to grind the PvE missions hundreds of times to craft implants that wear out in a few missions...

The skill tress are a total joke, a half a dozen choices (none of which make any great difference) with worthless skills you are forced to choose just to get to the "better" skills.

OH BOY IT HAS 100 LEVELS !!!!

But you get all skills and weapons by level 30 so the other 70 levels are meaningless/worthless to your character development.

The interface is bland and primitive, you cannot sell multiple items (imagine having to sell a stack of 100 items one at a time), there is no friends list, the auction system cannot be sorted or searched so you have to scroll through every item in the auction trying to find what you want.

The lobby system has horrible ambient sounds that are far too loud, the ambient sounds in missions break up and sound like static (not on my system alone, many say this) the weapon sounds are cheesy as well.

And to top it all off it is unoptimized and hooks registers and vectors and then won't release them so you can get a nice BSOD if you don't reboot after playing it.

Global Agenda needed a LOT more testing before any release was considered and is currently not a good game at all, the limitations on teaming is really game breaking and makes it totally unworthy of a subscription fee, barely worthy of purchase.

Bottom line: If I knew the big 60 v 60 gameplay was nothing but hype I would not have bothered to purchase the game and I'm going to check  if Steam will refund.

As it sits, Global Agenda is a ripoff.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you cannot turn off the in game voice so you get to hear little retards screaming into their mics.

This post is DEAD on.

FYI, you can get a refund through Steam while the came is still in preorder, so do it now. I did.

Yes ... this game is still lacking in many areas ... but dang .... it's so much fun :D

That's all that matters to me. I hope this game will involve into even more fun.

They got my money for the box, though i will not be a subscriber yet .... either they lower the monthly fee or improve the MMO part.

Oh, forgot to reply on this one:

lol I've played more then 4 maps. So that shows that you haven't even played the game. Who cares about a friends list that's something that can be added later.  I don't have a problem with anyone giving there input to better the game but all i see is a bunch of bullshit complaints. When you have good points to make then make then. If you just want to flame about the game because you don't like it then shut the fuck up and go do better.

Yes the game needs more content and it will in do time. The core of the game, pvp is spot on.

4 maps per mode.  All with the same design(especially for the first pvp maps).  This is what they want to charge 13 a month for?

Did any of you retards ever play a FPS game? I don't remember the last time someone bitched about how little maps CS1.6 had. Hell, the only thing I ever played was de_dust2, de_dust and occasionally cs_italy.

God, the ignorance of scrub ass players. You REALLY want to memorize more than 16 maps? Maybe you need to find another game than because CLEARLY competitive play is NOT for you (or you're one of those morons that cause a team to lose).
