Taken from a thread in the official RoM forums.. From Icarii Hello,
---------------------------------------------------- This is the kind of sh*t that finally got me to leave RoM. No, it doesn't specifically say you will be able to do ANYTHING if you buy a custom title. If you want to use that argument then they could , after charging you, only allow you to put the letter B as your title, and then tell you "Tough, we never actually SAID you would be able to use whole words of your choosing." But if you take the information that IS available to the CONSUMER (lets not forget what we are) you see in-game titles with spaces between the words. You see titles with capitalization. If you look at older players who purchased the original Custom Titles, they were allowed to use spaces, capitalization, etc. Since you didn't TELL us that what we were purchasing was significantly different than what was originally offered, than what is found in-game, what do you really expect? You are, in fact, hiding information that you HAD TO KNOW would cause people to NOT purchase this item. Almost every person I have talked to, after finding out this information, has said so. It certainly isn't Icarris' "fault" since he had nothing to do with the coding. But to dismiss this as "You should have known" is pure BS. |

It's not a scam because it results in less sales. However, it is another needless change for the worse. More than likely an unintended side-effect from inept code tinkerers, just as we've seen time and again. |
